    ..... So if a crack appears in the oven and you get mad and huck it at the wall really hard would you call it a TEMPER TANTRUM??????

    Would Aluminium or Copper jaw inserts on your vise affect the procedure positively? or suck too much heat?

      Haha it had been quenched so it wasn't all that hot. Definitely qouldn't suggest doing that pre-quench!

    Perfect. This is exactly what I was looking for! Was listening to the Forgecast Podcast earlier (best smithing podcast around btw, cheers for that guys!) and you were talking about testing your knives for a good heat treat. Was a bit distracted as I was forging at the time so didn't really hear exactly what was said, but found this once I got home! Sorted :D
