I've been playing the trumpet for 28 years and I got my new red pTrumpet A couple of weeks ago and have been using it for a lot of busking downtown and it's absolutely incredible. Plays fantastic in the freezing cold where my other brass trumpets pistons froze and was unplayable for busking in the winter. I have no problem with internation or the valves sticking whatsoever. And the amazing thing is it requires no valve oil. Love my pTrumpet, it's an amazing product and I highly recommend it. Thanks Conn Selmer.
I just bought a red one on amazon for 78 bucks free shipping brand new. Arriving within the next two days. Excited to test this thing out. Im a comeback trumpet player and want to use the ptrumpet for fun and maybe some casual gigs.
I have been playing the Trumpet for 59 years. I am getting a P Trumpet after many hours of investigation as to which plastic trumpet to get. While I am far from a beginner, I've decided on this one. I wanted a trumpet that is a Throw-N-Go kind of instrument and one I can keep ready in my SUV. My only problem is what color to go with.
No valve oil? My goodness. So many memories of hours and hours of band practice, oiling the valves. The smell of valve oil, and sometimes even the taste of valve oil..... Very fond memories. Sad that after leaving high school, I never played it again.
I bought this on Amazon ,and later had doubts cuz many buyers complained about stuck piston. But luckily on this video you have shown who the piston structure is by removing them.I am sure with the right silicone lube (in case its stuck) I can get it to function right.I didn't believe before the piston could be removed :) Thanks.
I played brass trumpet when I was in grade 9 and couldn’t learn it. I’ve wanted to try again. It’s meant for beginners but I feel I could use this well.
Just noticed the tuning slide goes into the 3rd valve where the 3rd valve slide normally goes in, just like my Pan american pea shooter trumpet made in 1946. the 3rd valve slide goes in where the tuning slide normally goes in.
I've had the chance to try out these trumpets, and compared to my Yamaha student model, they actually sound almost alike. I actually do like these p-trumpets a lot, And overall I actually found them more fun to play than my Yamaha student model. FYI, it no longer comes in 6 colors. The p-trumpet now comes in 8 colors. Just recently they introduced orange and purple as an option
RICHARD GORDON yes, read on the website. Comes with 3c and 5c acrylic. I’ve played trumpet for 4 years, and have gotten into California All State honor band both 2 years possible for me, into symphonic band :)
There are also trombones on the market that are completely made of plastic. A friend of mine plays trombone as well and he was quite impressed with it.
@@danielbeggan8024 update: I bought a pTrumpet and keep it by my desk (along with my clarinet, flute and ukulele) to demonstrate for my middle school students... it's fun to play!
@@imuawarriors I live in in Scotland 🏴 but lived in the states during my junior high days. When I started in junior high, music class came around and I was asked which instrument would I care to choose, I (not long in from Scotland) said I was not interested in playing an instrument! To which the reply was "that is not an option" so I chose the trumpet. I'm now 68 and it's one of the best things to happen to me in my lifetime. In Scotland kids don't get the opportunity to play an instrument (apart from drums, keys or guitar) and you do get that chance you normally have to pay for the tuition. YES..... @@danielbeggan8024 that's awesome you play the trumpet - even though I'm a woodwind guy, I love watching trumpet videos on RUclips! this is my 29th year of teaching music... that past two have been tougher because of COVID, but you just gotta keep trying... I love playing my instruments, it is something that I will do for the rest of my life for sure....
The reason I'm thinking of getting a ptrumpet is that my brass one keeps filling up with condensation. As my plastic clarinet doesn't suffer from this I'm thinking the ptrumpet will be less susceptible to it. Please could someone say if this is the case.
I am also interested in one of these to carry around without worry of theft or damage. However, I cannot find mention of this horn on the Conn-Selmer website, and when I clicked on the link above it takes me to a sign-in page. Where can I find some data/info from Conn-Selmer? Thanks!
The clearances between the valves and the valve housings are much smaller than those in a brass trumpet so the gap for leaks isn’t as great. I can’t remember the valves being a source of leaks in my experience, the airways are at much lower pressure than the valves and their sleeves.
Hi I am a junior in high school and I want a new horn I was thinking between a Bach 180s37, Schilke X3, and a Bach LT190 "commercial" trumpet. I love to play jazz but I also need a symphonic sound which out of these is the best of all for what I need ?
Okay, I have play trumpet, for 33 years. I was 4 years old wend I started. My trumpet is a Bach Stradivarius 180 ML ,Silver from 2002. I have a very very super, great fat tone on this ,Trumpet.
I just bought a comparable coolwind plastic trumpet and I was very surprised with the sound and the ease of intonation. For that money you don't find something similar in brass, no way, but how long it will last and what if someone sits on it accendentally.
Im a french horn player and I started teaching to beginning brass players, Transposing form B-flat to F isnt really that difficult but i want to make my life a little bit more easy. so my question is can i put my French horn mouth piece on this trumpet with an adaptor?
peop102 yes 100% I play trumpet in my high school marching band and while I don't have a trumpet myself a friend of mine does and they use a French horn mouthpeice
For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment; (2peter2:4) - Because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead. (Acts17:31) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:16-17) Jesus loves you, he’s waiting for you to repent and put your faith and trust in Him :)

I love oiling my valves, especially when the oil gets on my skin, and I can't get it off.
Holo Squishi ill oil your valves ;)

I play trombone and i bought a ptrumpet for experimentation and to improve my range
Our school district bought 10 Pbones as an experiment. All are now in landfill.
how this thing works and the valves can go in any order is crazy!
F. E. Olds did this with one of their trumpets 60 years ago.

Does the Trumpet play in TUNE. I see that it does not have a tuning slide ring.

Do you have these in French horns
can you give a tutorial of the song you played at the begenning

And how do you expect the instrument to seal properly without valve oil? 🤔like there are no air leaks?

Why an Ptrumpet ? Is it cheaper ?
It's plastic it's easier and I think it is cheaper.
I love how they say "all plastic" but use a metal mouth piece
Joe B. The mouthpiece was plastic
