I honestly think that this was somewhat of a creative outfit. This is my own opinion so please don't come jumping at me but I think they went for specific pattern and shape of their outfit. I think it all just usually depends on the theme, but in any other case I find this outfit to be deemed Messy

There’s crazy different things between: Messy/just doing to much, creative great layering, nice layering but not very creative, cute but basic, or just being a fur abuser or someone who makes atrocious outfits with barely anything on💀 it’s obvious to tell the differences about them all so i swear this fight is obvious… if you can’t really tell the difference between all those categories of dressing in dress to impress, it’s fine but you gotta learn because you could be making a drop dead gorgeous outfit get lost by not knowing the difference between these categories. I personally think that over-the-top crazy layering is great, in moderation and when it’s clearly intentional. For example, I actually really like the crazy rainbow-y one - the intention was clearly to be chaotic, and it actually kind of reminds me of a CD, like when the light hits it and you see a rainbow on top of the silver. For me, I think it turned out great! But if you are doing insane layering for EVERY theme, even themes like “basic” like mentioned in the video, it just doesn’t fit the context. Also if it’s just random layering and patterns with no clear vision or intention, it doesn’t look good.

I'm a huuuge fashion nerd and a maximalist my opinion is I love creative freaky fits in free play but if you want a good outfit still stuck to "if your outfit isn't unique in texture it should be unique in color if it isn't unique in color then it should be unique in shape" outfits should be unique and interesting unless stated otherwise and I'm absolutely prayinggg please besties stay on theme in some way!!! Like if the theme is preppy and you go for a more old preppy look or school spirit outfit instead of modern preppy that's fine as it isn't off theme (the themes are mostly loose for a reason people!) Also don't get so beaten up about placing as most kids who play this game are not actively pursuing a career in fashion design and are fairly young! Sincerely an uber autistic guy who's special interest is fashion design 💕

In my opinion. The first outfit is creative and artistic at the same time. I am an artist myself and yeah, I will make standard drawings of characters and such but I really love abstract art, I love all the colors and many many many ways you can make an abstract panting look. So when other players think something is artistic and creative and you don't. Remember that other people have different views of the definition artistic and creative. Not everything has to be the same of the two definitions. Basically I'm saying that different people have different views on art and creativity. Like when you see a TV show of people judging art. Honestly, the DTI community has gotten very toxic. In my opinion, just like in real life, good DTI fits are always subjective, which means that one person could love an outfit and another person could hate it. Either way I’m excited to hear what you have to say about it
For me i think the example shown is good EXCEPT for a couple things, like the face. I love how the clothing on the outfit looks crazy and as an artist i feel like its crazy but still balanced in a good way. BUT THE FACE idk abt ya’ll but my biggest dti pet peeve rn is pros putting on a contour color that doesn’t match when its a darker browns skin color or when its white makeup on pure black skin. For me i feel like the opinions would be turned around a lot if the faces were changes and like 3 items were taken off
