Not to be a bother, but would you be willing to share with me how you used an item to activate the command to open the door? And is it possible on Bedrock Edition? I've been struggling for a long time to create an external locking system for my TARDIS, and some help would be great. If you don't feel like sharing, that's alright.
I can explain how I did it, but I'm not sure if that will work with Bedrock. From the little experience I've had, Bedrock seems to be a completely different platform, especially regarding commands. That said, the way I unlocked the door using the key is using an invisible, silent, noAI villager positioned at the door of my exterior. In Java edition, you can detect right-click with a villager using a scoreboard criteria: minecraft.custom:minecraft.talked_to_villager. So every time I right-click the villager, my score goes up by one. So all I need to do is detect if my score has gone up, then detect if I'm holding the key item, and then run whatever command is needed to open the door. Hope that helps!
Either Bedrock is incapable of doing that yet or I just don't know what I'm doing lol 😂 Thanks for the info anyways, you were a big help!
@@captainspock3p07 You're welcome, glad to help.
@@captainspock3p07 bedrock is probably incapable of doing that. Bedrock is completely different from java.
