Daigo also rivals in ingenuity, creativity and mastery in his sequences: it's just phenomenal 🔥🔥🔥 In any case, I never tire of seeing these two fight, it's exactly what I expect from a fighter of their caliber 👌
19:00 😳 As a Ryu player, I need to start buffering SA 3 whenever I'm in a close range fireball war now. Because this is sick ass hell. Looking back at it now, I think its possible he was also just buffering SA1 in case the fireball hits him again, but since SA1 and SA3 share the same directional inputs as each other, YAS had the ability to pick between using either. And then once he saw that Daigo threw a fireball of his own, he pressed Kick to cancel in to SA3 instead since it goes thru fireballs. I really wish we could see their inputs in situations like these. What's fascinating about it is that Akuma doesn't actually have any extended hurt box on his hands when he throws a fireball either. So in a way, it was almost kind of lucky that YAS got that exchange off. Because if people didn't know, Ryu and Ken has extended hurt boxes on their hand when they throw a fireball, but Akuma for some reason does not.
Let's take it easy, this isn't official, they're just playing. Daigo is probably still the best there is in long sets, and we don't even need to go that far, just look at what he did with Tokido in SF5... And if that's not enough, I'm sorry, but you don't want to see

He’s in good shape I think it’s just the how the game is akuma fits for the way he wants to play the low health sucks but that’s was always a problem for the character so he has to play good offense and near perfect defense

if daigo lost, nobody can win w/ akuma. akuma is good for beating noobs only. Tell me if youve seen an akuma win a pro tournament. he doesnt have enough health to beat a pro
I have never seen anyone beat Daigo this bad. It was overall close, but he is markedly better than him in these matches. Usually, it's the other way around.
