The minor character of Priya was created and added to the plot and widely promoted as part of publicity purposes in order to distract the viewers from realizing the fact that the plot of the film is about both the relationship and the tragedy of the two main characters (Roshan and Gadha) who truly love each other which we see in the discarded climax (or old climax). The old climax ended with the implied murders of Gadha and Roshan by the thugs. Many viewers (particularly Malayali viewers and Telugu viewers) realized this when they watched this film during its initial release.
