- Members of parliament on the Public accounts committed have contested the free treatment given to foreigners at the Uganda Cancer Institute UCI saying this is unfair to Ugandans who foot the taxes that facilitate the activities of the institute and still pay for such treatment in the private wing. UCI officials told the MPs that 20% of their patients are foreigners. The committee is querying audit shortfalls for the financial year 2022/2023.
