@@dsouza4746 same but French, here. Don't remember having ever seen an effing ox towing tourists on skis, seriously what is that ? Even my mother says she never seen that, ever. Madeira wine super good but expensive,
I go to Madeira every summer and haven’t seen that either. In two weeks I’m going to Lisboa w my wife to find a retirement beach house… going back to my roots now that I am about to retire.
Lisbon is like pakistan now in some areas. Porto, foura doura, edphino, some really nice beaches and properties very cheap. Places like faro is for billionaires.@@dsouza4746
Already? That was the history of the world up to and including that period, and still is. Of course you are leaving out the fact that most of the island’s economy stems from the wine industry and tourism. Would you shut it down? Then what would happen the people who live there? There’s nothing wrong in working hard to produce a good product that happens to be in demand brother. The working class aren’t victims. They go on vacations too where they do business with other working class people who do the same. See how this works.
@@latvialava6644 I don't see anything that you should be sorry for. By the way, I just happened to have had a few sips of Madeira Bual yesterday. You should try some. Take care.
The original film featured tourists traveling by rickshaw, from sea level to 5,400', while urging the servants on by whipping them with small 'switches' or branches of the local bamboo. It was horrible to watch, but you realize Madeira is not Europe.
I left madeira at age of 17, living in Newcastle for 50years but I will never forget where I was born x
My parents are from Madeira. I was raised in San Francisco but I love going to the place
Of my family origin
