I am both Marvel and DC fan and I don’t care as long as they’re good films and I have fun watching them that’s all it matters and so can y’all too so I don’t think we don’t need to pick a side for who’s the best because at the end of the day they’re all superhero movies that we can enjoy.

He's probably panicking because he knows he has to move Fantastic Four. Besides the other two massive movies coming out before F4 in July, they can't even start the marketing campaign until after Thunderbolts comes out so they're going to be even further behind.
Panic over what? That the Superman film will set off a DCU that rakes in over $32 BILLION in less than 15 years? One thing for sure, Superman will perform dramatically better than all of the Phase One films.
No offense to Marvel but Superman is just a much bigger deal, especially now that the character and universe are being handled properly. Hopefully this sparks a healthy competition.

I'll see both movies. I pick Marvel over DC in general instead of just enjoying both for the reason that my budget to spend on comic books is not infinite money.
I just love the whole comic book heroes movies, as long as they are good. I’m old school, and read them in the 70’s. My first comic movie was Superman with Christopher Reeves, and then of course Batman. There are and will always be division especially when some people have that mindset growing up that way. But I had always said, if anyone can turn the DCU around, James Gunn can. As long as it’s a great story, I’m in.
Marvel has been on top DC has been figuring it out and they finally found their footing. Now I need Image to get it together cause they have to some bangers that I would love to see be adapted because Jupiters Legacy was too good to be wasted on Netflix.

This is an amazing result in context. Considering that people that are not comic book fans had lost interest and faith in DC properties, and even MCU movies not getting people's attention (with few exceptions like Guardians 3 and Deadpool and Wolverine), and considering that Superman is often considered an outdated character, and even considering that Batman is generally more popular among the non comic fans, it's almost unbelievable that this teaser beat all other DC trailers (including from the Batman films). I agree that's nonsense to pit DC against marvel, mostly because this is a personal victory for Superman and for Superman fans, which I am included. So, very happy with the numbers, I hope the movie is as good as the trailer. But I will also watch Captain America and Thunderbolts.
It was a good trailer but so too was Cap4 a good trailer. Once the movies are seen, the story will be told. If the movies suck, it'll be known very soon and they'll fail. To my eye and early sensibilities, they both look good and have enough novelty to them that they'll likely bring in viewers. I am more concerned with Thunderbolts. People will confuse it with Thundercats, and even if they don't, viewers won't have much interest in a Disney+ style movie with peripheral characters nobody cares about.
