Working GLOVES would be great guys cause if that cooler was to slip it like handling razor blades also if that cooler was to slip and your holding that rope without glovesthe rope will burn your hands and your reflex would be to let go of the rope not grab onto it.
I can't figure out what's going wrong with my cooler ? My cooler keeps going off and on about every 20 minutes by itself. I the assumed the motor was getting too hot, so I've replaced my blower motor 3 times and kept swamping the 3 of them in and out, replaced the bearings, adjusted the belt many times from tight to so lose it was coming off the pully, replaced the 2 speed wall switch, and the power cord to the blower motor. The motor still keeps repeatedly shutting down after about 20 minutes then coming back on. The blowed shaft seems finest since there blower spins pretty much freely from the what I came tell. I'm going to melt this weekend. Does anyone know what could be the problem?
Ok will do. That sounds logical. I can't get to it till Tuesday now, but I'll get up there and test the voltage going to the motor then. Thanks so much for the info or idea!
Russ Mess ... pulling too much amperage, belt too tight or possibly adjustable pulley needs to be properly adjusted. My3/4 horse motor must not draw more than 14.5 or it will overheat and shut off.
1. Check voltage at motor terminals, this value should be within 10% of the motor nameplate rating. 2. Check starting & running amperage draw on low and high speed. Compare to maximum load or sf amperage on nameplate. 3. Check static pressure (s) . Generally the longer your duct run, the higher the pressure / resistance you will have. To adjust motor pulley : 1-2 turns open for low static pressure. 4-5 turns open for high static pressure. Most of the time I install coolers by myself, sometimes friends help me, it all depends on the job.
4 guys installing a swamp cooler 2 guys connecting 110v guy sweeping the mess from the old cooler under a package unit another guy painting with dp1010 which is not recommended for rooftops and let’s not get a crane for 200 bucks we will hire a guy for 40 bucks remove the motor and he will put it on his back and lift it up an extension ladder bahahaha! If these guys were legit employees and you have 4 guys at a simple swamp cooler job paying them an hourly pay and workers comp that $800 swamp cooler was probably way over bid, or your loosing money big time. This video shows how legit you are 👍
That's what I'm saying dude accompanies losing a ton of money. And they're going to get hurt that one guy look like he was going to break his neck. She's probably not paying them s*** though they're working for low-wage. That's how it is now there's certain people out there and there's a lot of them to come in and take her jobs and work for nothing. Appreciate your comment

Russ Mess check Voltage going to motor and see if motor is wired for the supplied voltage. Wrong voltage can defintely burn out a motor quickly.
