The outfit is inspired by bullfighting, the outfits have a short jacket with big shoulders and are covered with shiny golden patterns. Yes they look similar to mexican outfits such as mariachis, those were probably influenced by spanish culture. And those crystals patterns, as a spaniard, they give me matador and feria vibes but also yes! catholic churches! They remind me of those complex and shiny church windows made of tainted glass, with those similar geometrical patterns.
It was made by Palomo Spain, a big designer who has worked with people like Beyoncé

As a Finn, I would definitely think that Spain is one of the sexiest countries in Europe. Those deep brown eyes and a language that rolls beautifully. Maybe Spanish people would feel differently. I have understood that the blond, blue-eyed Nordic people are also considered beautiful and sexy by some.
What I'm most impressed by in this performance is how she can use her voice while dancing HARD the whole time! I'd be out of breath after the first 20 seconds, but she has an impressive dance break and continues doing some equally impressive runs with her voice right after that. Amazing skills and talent.

Depending on the role while fighting in the arena the clothing is more or less ornated. There are 3 different roles: picador, banderillo and matador. The matador usually is the most decorated one.

The jacket is a bullfighter that represents the costume of bullfighters from Spain, from bullfighting. Really, a bit of world culture. It makes a nod to our culture. Look and look for a bullfighter's suit. And at the same time it is a beautiful women's sequin suit. What Mexico or what milk. In any case, Mexico imitates Spain as almost everything it has comes from Spain.

  • @Haghenveien

Well, there's actually a Catholic component because matador oufits and the robes of our Virgins, you know that we have statues of the Virgin Mary, Jesus Christ and the Saints, have very similar inspiration, and usually the brodery in made by the same people.
Also, here in Spain, in general, modesty is not something that Catholics would focus in that much, if at all. I grew up Catholic, for example, going to mass every sunday, years and years of catechesis. Not a single comment on the topic.
Actually, in Spanish the word modesty (modestia) translates as humility, and has nothing to do with the lenght of someone's skirt. So if there's any reference in the Bible about being modest, we just take it as being humble.
Fun fact, we have this say that we use when someone is debating in their outfit might be a little too reveling that more or less goes like : "What worms are going to eat (in reference to the body), let Christians enjoy it" .

Two more Eurovision addicts, we'll take over the World and conquer Mars indeed. Now you must 'Hold me closer' 'give that wolf a banana' 'take that video, watch it slo mo' with 'Stephania' and you'll be in 'Space Man'.

Some interval acts of Eurovision are worth rating too. I give you a suggestion to start with: Diodato (2022, do read about the back story of this song), from 2021 Davina Michelle and/or Afrojack + Wulf + Glennis Grace, Madonna (2019, not from her own channel!) and Riverdance (1994).

Dressed by Palomo Spain, a Spanish designer and all-round petarda. He did her proud. And yes, all the Catholics in the Barrio de Salamanca in Madrid wear this all the time. *not

You’ll have to fight Johnny Weir for it . He’s hosted it in the US for Peacock the last couple years, before that it used to be on Logo TV, if I’m not mistaken.
