- Prince William hosted a garden party at Buckingham Palace on behalf of his father King Charles. The party also included his cousins Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Zara Tindall - accompanied by her husband, Mike - and Peter Philips. The Prince met representatives from a number of his and his wife’s patronages and military affiliations.

Good to see the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester supporting Prince William. Not forgetting Mike and Zara! Missing princess Katherine!
Unfortunate weather, but everyone looks so fashionable!!!! Love the garden parties and Prince William look as handsome as ever!!! Missing Catherine!!
It was as if it was a sunny day in the rain! And, it was.
Princess Catherine will be back when the time is right for her. It is more important she recovers fully and completely before resuming her royal duties.
So it’s all about fashion. Are you aware it’s 2024 and there are pressing matters to be attended to? But you just wear a FANCY HAT and all is GOOD.

It was so nice to see Zara, Mike, and Peter along with the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester helping Prince William with this Garden Party.

I had a giggle when I noticed the Duchess of Gloucester’s footwear… very sensible for the conditions. Good for her 😀

Wonderful that William has the full support of his cousins!! I'm sure we will see more of them at future events. You don't have to be a working royal to make an impact. This clearly shows solidarity and loyalty to familly and Monarchy. Want to see more of William's cousins.

Don't worry, it rains here just as much in Northern NSW, Australia. As a Brit I was surprised to hear it rains more here than London with our annual tropical rain storms ('The Wet') then our winter rain. X

The royals "endure rain" at a pompous elite garden party ... while some people endure long long days doing hard, sweaty work in a noisy factory.
So glad to see Zara, Mike, and Peter participating. Plus the dignified Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. No nonsense royals, all.
How cool is that? Love love love Zara's dress, matching shoes and boater. Mike Tindall is there - he's such a love learning all the RF ropes. How proud Princess Anne must be that she brought her daughter up to choose such a delightful husband. Kinda would have liked to see Peter Philips out on the lawn, but William was wonderful. He truly captures what being Royal is all about. He displays such warmth and wonderful manners.
The Prince of Wales carries on his duties with charm, diplomacy and dedication. In the fullness of time, he will make a magnificent King and leader for the UK. God save the King!

Mike Tindall and his wife Zara. Princess Anne's daughter were there supporting Prince William to. Mike and William are close like two brothers. Princess Catherine and Zara are a really good friends and always support each other to.

It was like having two mothers so although I never actually called myself Gilsgal when they were alive, in a sense I was her gal, the daughter she never gave physical birth to, but loved and sustained me all my life.

Bless him! The way he holds his head and his mannerisms while speaking to the guests is very much reminding me of his mother Princess Diana. As my Welsh grandma used to say, a little bit of rain and a cup of tea never hurt anyone. He does Britain and the Commonwealth (Canadian here) proud.
Probably not Prince William's favorite sort of event but he, of course, is his usual gracious and handsome self! It is great to see the Tindalls there too!
There's got to be days when they would rather be anywhere else than at a rainy outdoor event where they have to make polite conversation with strangers. William is showing his grandmother's sense of duty and purpose. I wish she could have seen him as the Prince of Wales, growing into his role with maturity, humility and good humour, just like she trained him.

Not really because he doesn't represent the family in an official capacity which is why he could tell that ridiculous story about how he always rips his trousers and it happened in front of The Princess Royal, and he also revealed something rather inappropiate written on his underpants which was revealed to Anne. That's putting more than a foot wrong, funny as it may be, it's certainly not Royal decorum. He has never done anything that hurt their reputation, that is true, but never put a foot wrong? As Mike is not a titled or working royal, he is free to do most things he wants to do hence why he was on a reality show like Catherine's uncle. Mike is a free person. He isn't held to Royal standards and restrictions to begin with nor as closely followed and scrutinized by the media as the Royals are.
