What’s up with the random Alien Force/Ultimate Alien merch dropping randomly as of the last 2 years? You’d expect the first (original series) or the last (Omniverse) installments to be the first candidates to launch toy lines for an old franchise, but this renewed focus on the middle eras is very interesting. I know UA was probably one of the most profitable eras in the franchise’s history, but that surely can’t be the reason to randomly drop UA merch a decade later?
Even though every era of the franchise has its fans, I've always gotten the impression that UAF is the most popular (if only by a bit), so it could just be capitalizing on nostalgia for that era specifically. To add to this, the classic series and Omniverse are generally less serious in tone, so older viewers, who are the target of nostalgic merch, will probably be more likely to buy from the more serious UAF shows.
