Hello Chris. I just discovered your lessons which I find truly interesting, plus you speak so clearly that I understand everything you say. So, thank you very much for that. You encourage me to continue learning English. I subscribed straight away. Kadeesha was the hardest to understand because she speaks kind of quickly. And thank you again. You've made my day. Cheers Cécile

@@AnglaisAvecunAnglophone Hello Chris. I do a lesson every day. Now I've discovered your interesting channel, I'll never leave you. Honestly, it helps me a lot in understanding. Your explanations are clear and are a good revision for me. What I like is that they are short stories. When a text is too long it's tiring. Have a good evening. Cécile.

Hello Chris, I have a little question: Beverly sayd: I was a secretary and retired last year. Since it's over, can we say I used to be a secretary instead I was a secretary. Cheers
Hi Cecile. Great question. It's true that she could have said 'I used to be a secretary and retired last year.'. ... But most English speakers don't use, 'used to' when there is a date or time period mentioned. Example: I used to live in London. ✅ I lived in London ten years ago. (Don't use 'used to' here because we have a time period.)
Hello and thank you for your comment (in English too - super practice!) I have a few corrections for you. Just be careful with your use of the past. Pour votre commentaire, vous auriez dû utiliser le prétérit........donc - The couple Kevin and Beverly were hard to hear for me. The teenager was an easy voice to understand. So the easiest was Kadeesha.

For me, Kevin & Beverly were à Little difficult 😌
Kevin certainly had a very deep voice! Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Chris.
The couple Kevin and Beverly have had hard to heard for me. The teenager was a voice easy to understand. So the easier have had Kadeesha.
