I grew up in a small rural town in OH in the 60s. We didn't have much money. I loved taking my allowance to a store like Pier One in Lima and buying exotic fruit or candy. If course, back then, the selection was limited. Reading books like Nancy Drew sparked my imagination and interest in different foods because Nancy went to Japan and other far away places. Foodnis a way to connect. This young man is blessed to have these fruits.
Sorry to disappoint, having lived in SE Asia I have tried most of these, and some are not only not good but virtually unpalatable. Yet he says they are delicious, meaning he's just trying to create hype. The reason they aren't cultivated or exported is typically because they don't taste good. That durian for example, it tastes like fermented onions and smells like excrement. I'm not exaggerating, the smell is virtually indistinguishable.
I had a dear friend, who passed away recently, born and raised in Malaysia. She loved durians, yes they have a foul scent, but they cook them. Here, we call that giant passionfruit badea. I’m growing them in Ecuador. The flesh of the fruit is my favorite part. It’s very mild and similar in taste and texture to melon. The pulp you were eating at the beginning of the video I prefer to use in juices or as a flavoring in deserts. Badea will grow and produce in cooler climates than most other passionfruit. On my farm at 2390m elevation my maracuyá and grenadilla are struggling, while badea and taxo (banana passionfruit) love this temperate climate. I suspect the variety of badea I have is more cold hearty that most.

While it's nice to know the fruits taste good, it'd be better if he described what they actually taste like; especially since most of us are unlikely to get a chance to experience them in person :T
Sawo in Indonesia
Sapodilla in Trinidad. ❤
Sapotille- Suriname. He is eating it the wrong way. The fruit should be peeled first.
@@lazaruscain3424 it's actually quite good. Very sweet with a hint of alcohol. Texture is a bit sandy like it literally has grains of sugar in it. 😋😋😋
The third fruit is called a Sapodilla in Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹
It’s really nice
called cheeku in India..
Indonesian call it sawo
Love and respect from 🇹🇹
I’ve made up my mind. I’m literally going to make a life goal of trying all these fruits that he eats. There’s no way I can move my life without having some of those😭
This guy wants to shit his pants lol
Good luck with the laxative fruit 🫡
I would skip the Durian if I were you
@@SunshineMine369obviously you have not tried malaysian durian fresh from the orchard. They have many grades and species of durian and different prices. The best is Musang King. It's so good other countries are exploring ways to cultivate it.
His mom 20 yrs ago: "stop eating too much veggies!!!!!!"
One strong gust of wind and this guy ends up on a new island with new fruits to eat.
Damn....
It's kinda sus that you were checking his body out so much that you felt the need to comment this
I subscribed because you showed me fruits that I've never seen and known before.
I want to discover more fruits
Sorry to disappoint, having lived in SE Asia I have tried most of these, and some are not only not good but virtually unpalatable. Yet he says they are delicious, meaning he's just trying to create hype. The reason they aren't cultivated or exported is typically because they don't taste good. That durian for example, it tastes like fermented onions and smells like excrement. I'm not exaggerating, the smell is virtually indistinguishable.
I had a dear friend, who passed away recently, born and raised in Malaysia. She loved durians, yes they have a foul scent, but they cook them. Durians are especially good when cooked with pork, but she told me that they are delicious in many dishes. They are so popular there that they are hard to find sometimes. @@BoopSnoot
@@BoopSnootyou’re lying. All of these fruits are good especially durian. Thats why locals ate it everywhere. And yes it has been exported outside SE asia for your information
Uhm, you know that Durian smells SO BAD that its banned in half of Singapore? There are signs everywhere saying no Durian because it literally smells like poo. Even the taste is acquired, its similar to a mixture of squash and onion taste but mushy. @@Outside_162
@BoopSnoot durian tastes like what? Fermented onions? The taste is like one of the best there is. Some may not like it, but to those who didn't tried it yet, I can assure onion and durian are living on the opposite sides of the world.
I love durian bro!! Its one of my favourites!!
the sugar fruit called "sawo" in Indonesian, and we often considered ourselves as "ripe sawo" colored skin people.
No doubt someone like Capt Cook probably brought it to my country, 🇯🇲 from your reigion, but here it is called nesberry
Sawo matang bro
We call it supporta fruit
Namanya ciku kat Malaysia
@hottajamaica thank you, given that it's THE ONLY ONE HE DIDN'T NAME!
That’s a brave man getting that Durian fruit all in his beard like that.
Why?
@@marcusroth4272Durian fruit is known as the most stinky fruit, odorous fruit and disgusting fruit, because it smells terrible and he just smeared it all in his beard, yuck.
As an asian, this fruit smell stinky but the taste is amazing, the more you eat, the addictive you gets.
Most people don’t like it because the smell but they never tries it out.
@@VAgames-development I imagine it's also becauss those of us in the west don't have access to it fresh. Which sucks, cause I'd love to try it one day, but I can't imagine it would be all that good over ripe.
Durian has a very pungent and lingering smell. Just a couple of bites and even your burps will smell awful for hours 😂
Finally someone from the west who can eat and appreciate durian lol 😆🤘
I've had a seed pod of Cassia fistula for years and never knew what it was! Thank you, now i know 🙂
You are sooo lucky to be eating all of these exotic fruits. They always look so good!

"That's the best passion fruit I've ever eaten, tastes JUST like a bicycle covered in bacon grease, just like mama used to make!"
Don't be jelly.
Lol 😂 😂😂
Esas frutas son puras bendiciones.
Eres afortunado.
One day, this guy is gonna gain a devil fruit power and he isn't even gonna know from which fruit it came.
Yea cause it’s the shit shit fruit
Well we know devil fruits always taste like ass, so he could probably narrow it down
I love the comments saying that the 4th fruit is very common in Asia ❤
Growing up in southern Mexico that fruit was very common as well. We call it Chicozapote (funny how all the different names that fruit has in Asia are just a variant of chico)
in nepal we say rajbrichyya (राजवृक्ष)
In India, it's called Chikoo.
We call it Granada here in El Salvador

@@endurofan9854 Because it came from Mexico and had a Native American Euphemism that meant "small fruit" and just directly translated to spanish "Chiko". It is a type of Tzapote and those are some of the S tier fruits of the world as there are varieties of Tzapotes.
