When Bears Act Like Cows - Eating Grass In The Winter

Every winter we get to see quite a few black bears eating grass since there is nothing else available. One of our forest rangers told us that the bears in the lower Cascade foothills don't hibernate very long. And this winter has been quite mild so far (except for one week below freezing), so not a big surprise that the bears showed up at our lawn a few days ago.
Anyway, we always love to see our bears and we're happy to see them feed on our lawn.
