What a compassionate woman, daughter of such a remarkable man! To be a white man at that time, and refuse to judge Bill by the color of his skin, and embrace him in such a way to the point of falling in love with the man, and then having the audacity to offer him the team to coach! So grateful Bill was blessed with such a man as Auerbach! Rest in Paradise Bill 🙏🏽🖤

Red Auerbach is a legend, he was WAY ahead of his time especially as an older man at the time. He drafted the first black player, built the first all black starting 5 and gave Russell the job as the first black head coach.

You can argue Bill Russell is the only man in NBA history who is greater than Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Not better, but greater. But the definition of GOAT changes all the time.
