Gotta respect that the guard despite being an asshole, respected Touru and his effort and actually defended him !
Yeah, kinda nice to have a character with some depth.
in his defense a cool asshole guard is always necessary
I got the feeling from start that he is just acting bad!
Just like - Sulking Sundere Spotted 😂
That guard is like your best friend where even if you guys fight with each other, you guys still respect one another
@alialluaibi3008 that is best friend material;
@ShadowWolfRising and a good amount of grit and honor.
Bro kept a body of his childhood friend for 25 years in a closet.
not creepy at all how did he move her into his place?
i mean... what else are you going to do with time frozen body?
and... gods we can hope her mind is frozen no in there able to see whats going on... in the latter case... her sanity would be long gone... and that could be amusing... but wouldnt really fit with the current tone of this.. heh..
At least it wasn't a coffin🤣
true but at least she was in a closet not standing in the room like a statue or was used as a candle stand
Necrophilia?
Mu kinda just shoved Sora into the back seat. Can we wrap up one plot before we run off into anther plot?... THe idea of a kid, spending his whole life fighting to revivfe his friend, never loving any other, cause he was that loyal to his friend. really is a great premise to explore. There is no better test of if a person loves you is if they spend their eentire life to bring you back. That is a keeper for real.
That is commitment 101 for you
Yeah. Ngl the writer really wasted the plot. There's so much they could explore but decided to just skip all of that and gave us a mainstream everyday isekai life.
It's interesting that the boy and his grandfather have such similar abilities. One can halt time, and the other one can reverse the effects of time.
*paused at **28:37* Guard is so jealous he flips MC off behind his back! HAHAHA! Edit: Dang! Other guard straight-up reports him because he looks down on MC.
This guy definitely wasn't taking full advantage of his basic restoration ability. Go ahead and wield an obscenely sharp obsidian axe that dulls and shatters after 2-3 hits, because it doesn't matter how fragile your equipment is if you can just put it back together.
Because obsidian is so fragile, it won't even deal sufficient damage against well defended enemies for that to be worthwhile. Metal can punch through that stuff.
The real exploit is regenerating consumables.
Hes got something we all want, An Infinite money glitch
He just has to keep it in moderation or he could single-handedly cause a hyper inflation
@@sherinodak7a paycheck every week is all you need 👀
I honestly think that all of these themes of "badly treated healer" are based on a false premise. NOBODY with two brain cells is going to reject somebody with the ability to restore things, even if their ability can only reset equipment by 10 seconds. Especially if that ability has the potential to blossom into something greater later on. The ability to slap the "Undo" button just after a mistake is _priceless._
Even if it just repairs inanimate equipment and can't actually heal you, think about all the fights against monsters with tough armor.
Your sword gets chipped or shattered against an armored hide? No problem. Fall back for a second, or toss him your sword hilt while you switch to your secondary weapon.
Run out of arrows? Who cares? His ability can literally return your arrows to their quiver. You can fire as many as you want, as quickly as you want, and never run out. In fact, the FASTER you spam your arrows, the MORE arrows you can get refunded within that 10 second window.
Not to mention all of the crafting potential that having a "10 second Undo" button would give. It only takes one mistake to irrevocably ruin a crafting attempt and waste expensive components, but he can reverse it.
And even if your party outgrows needing him before he reaches his level 10 potential, just recommend him to a group of newbies who could still benefit from an undo button. He'll remember you as a friend when he eventually unlocks his true potential, and you get to build a network with an up-and-coming team because you recommended a fantastic support "temp" member to them.
Or keep him with you and help him grind, because if you were instrumental in helping him unlock his true potential, then he is more likely to work with you on a permanent basis. Even if you don't know what specific form his level 10 upgrade will take, it is doubtless that he will become even more useful. Even if he just gains the ability to "restore equipment from a distance" or something, that just means that your equipment will never fail you, no matter how tough the enemy monster is.
People just are not creative so we get a lot of these same boring stories.
These are translated from Japanese. They may continue to be the same for another generation. Deal with it 😑
Right? It's even worse when it's a normal healing ability. Who in their right mind looks at a MAGICAL DOCTOR and says they're useless? Especially when they're going to be facing countless monsters in what's basically a magical war, why would you discard or even scorn the medic? They literally have the ability to save a life, and yet somehow they're treated worse than if they had no skills at all.
While I tend to atree, I think the idea is that the skill is rated low. It probable doesnt get really useful unless you really invest in it. The mc only became as good as he is because he was devoted to the skill and learned it could be useful. Also mc has a habit of drawing aholes that is likely to draw bad rumors and make people shy away from him. You combine that with an unpopular skill and you got a yrouble. One more aspect alot of adventures are average and probable dont want to afford having a weak albeit situational skill that probable requires strategy in its use.

@@ojisanhoward8940how did you find it? What method did you use?
Thank you hero from the internet
Thanks man, how do you even manage to find the mangas?
They really dissing him for his ability when it is the ultimate item restoration power possible, you don't even need to buy new items with such ability !
They diss him as an adventurer as that's literally his only skill and in a fight it was completely useless before he levelled up. As a merchant, it would have been the best skill in the world: buy cheap, discounted, rusty weapons and armors, restore them and sell them full price.
@@thetwelfthdoctor9892 He honestly doesn't need to buy anything other than a single weapon to deal with a monster.
He already restored that horn multiplier times and got more than one...
@@thetwelfthdoctor9892 In reality the basic version of this skill is already almost the best utility a combatant can have. Cutting out repair costs, and not having to end a day early due to damaged equipment, as well as being able to exploit certain consumables is absolutely massive. Even in a single battle, facing an opponent that is strong enough to destroy your armor in one or two blows, you can win by instantly repairing it in the moment and extending your longevity.
@@chaotixthefoxwouldn't he also be able to restore almost empty potions?
Nobody talking about the girl being able to reverse attacks means she could reverse hollow purple
Yes. No one is going to cus no one cares
Considering how JJK went from the best recent anime I have seen since shit like overlord, to a mediocre meh shit show. No one cares man.
Gojo: "And who decided that?"
Technically yes, but its probably faster than she'd be able to catch it, so it'd be a skill issue
@@FeedMeSaltur just wrong and overlord is garbage
Restoration is a perfectly valid school of magic.
I detect an Elder Scrolls veteran
I was really confused as to why he decided against reversing his age until I realized that people would find that very strange.
Because he is japanese and they have a crappy attitude the older they get and his train of thought was mehh even if do im still gonna be a jadded old a-hole on the inside therefore im going to do all I can to sabotage whats left of my miserable life and push away the only chance of happiess i will ever have... why... just cause in jaded.
He'd still be old it said so he prolly can't extend his life.
@@ShxpxRokhe actually prolly can, he specifically said he just doesn’t want to cause he looks the age he is
@@ShxpxRokhe can when he reverse his age it extends his life. But his skills is the same
27:19 I just have to say how much this surprised me, hearing a character tell another they are close with they love them, even if not in a romantical way, is damn shocking! You don't see enough of that in these stories that's for damn sure.
I get why he doesn't want to pursue the romance route since he feels too old for her.
And years trying to revive her back, the loneliness and ridicule he had to endure made him as it is.
I honestly wish they dive deep into his thoughts more.
I don't get why he doesn't make his body younger to the same age as Sora.
@@ChaosPod then he'd have to start over at the guild and it would just be a hassle to explain no?
@@ChaosPod
Plus, that doesn't really change the fact that he's still older. Like he said, he'd become *physically* younger, but stay *mentally* older than her, which would still be weird
Meanwhile, for Sora it's as if those events happened only a moment ago, she's still in the middle of her childhood crush stage.
@@ChaosPodwhy would he, he’s an old men now he literally said it himself. Are you saying you’d turn your body back into your child version to smash an underaged girl or are you trying to say he should turn his body back so he won’t be annoyed by other ppl for being an old men with a young girl? Either way he is old and even if he turns his body back he’ll stay old so it wouldn’t make a difference
29:38 Carlos is missing a hand? I hope MC restores it for him at some point.
They are ignoring the "physics" of the magic, AGAIN. His skill would be the MOST valuable, the MOST envied, the MOST desired, not the least.
If there was ANY pathway to the higher level "restoration" skill he gains, people would be employed by firms or noble families, and supported in every possible way they needed, to gain that skill. It would be the SINGLE most prized and valued skill anyone ever heard of.
You will know this yourselves one day, I am moderately wealthy, but I am almost 60, my muscle tone is on the downward spiral. 20 or thirty short years from now, my lungs will begin to fail, or my heart, even if I DO keep as fit as is possible.
I wouldn't pay ALL of my savings to have my 30 year old body back, but I WOULD pay half. The wealth of a noble would be NOTHING to the wealth of a firm that had a clinic, where you could go in and pay your money, and have your knees not hurt as you walked. They could charge anything they liked, if you could take a child who had been injured in, and have their eye returned to them, or their skin un-burned . . .
He actually doens't tell most people about his skill, and the ability to use it on living beings is very recent. They only know him for what he used to be able to do, and he wants to keep it that way for now.
Are you suggesting that NO ONE has worked their way through the possibilities of EVERY permutation of the skill tree?.
But we know that is not so, because, under attack, running for his life, after his daughter and son were killed the protag's grandfather STILL knew certainly enough about the skill and its potential that he shouted it out in public to the protag.
If it was known about, and it WAS, the full attention of the rich and powerful would be turned upon developing the skill in magic users.
It would be the most powerful skill in a child, and the possessors could literally be the deciders of life, death, health and youth for their community.

@@uncletiggermclaren7592 tl;dr - You're mostly right, it's just a rare skill with a lot of conditions.
His skill tree is actually quite rare and after reading ahead, trees like it are so rare that the associated deity doesn't even have a church. The preist is more knowledgable about this topic than an average person, and mentions that he knows this because his skill is similar ( 5:27 ). It also wasn't in public really, it was in the medical temple with one other person in the room ( 4:54 ). So while people know about it, it's still pretty unlikely. With it's uncommon nature and the fact that it's nearly useless in battle at lower levels (and raising levels is harder when in a group), it can't be relied on much.
More likely than not, we have to assume the grandfather kept the nature of the MC's skill tree a secret. Because certainly, he have been swarmed by rich people who would have given him plenty of support to keep him on their side. Being a young child, there wouldn't be much he could do about it. The MC himself only wants to save his childhood friend, and is keeping to himself to make that easier. Since he could only use his skill on items, he even had to focus on weaker monsters so that he didn't die.
@@uncletiggermclaren7592 I Agree with everything you said my good friend...But thing is....With Great Power comes great responsibility....If he shows the world his cultivated ability....Everyone will exploit it...And its his unique Trait.
So logically...If you had a Nuke, of course you would hide it...Right?
Yes, of course you would hide it, if you just found it in some totally random way . . . and it was the only thing of its kind and no one else could ever find one themselves.
But he didn't do that. His uncle KNEW about it in great detail. He taught him how to set about it. That means that it was a known ability.
So it is not my point about HIM having it, he could have it and keep HIS having it secret . . . but the WORLD knows this is a possible ability. When he was first told of his starting "Skill" he would NOT be told it was useless. EVERYONE IN THE WORLD would know about that skill, because people in their town or village would have been restored after getting a wound, or even just getting old. @@burningsamrai3681
Very cute story. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.
Would have been interesting if the crystal ball had shown the girl's chronological age, but I guess she was paused by the actual god of TIME, so it truly wouldn't count the time that she was paused.
so now he can be a garbage collector or set a junk shop then restore items and resell them also he couls restore amputee
His skill seems like it’d be better for guild administration than adventuring. Imagine being able to restore any turned in materials to perfect quality, everyone would want to go to him
So both skills of the protaganists are OP --- reverse my body to 25 years ago... why wouldn't he?. As for the girl reverse any attack 50% of the time 5 times a hour? at level 1?.
He can only reverse battle related changes, not age.
There was literally a part where he was going to roll his age back to 25 but didn't do it because Sora objected.

So he could actually create an unlimited amount of high grade items just by breaking one item to a thousand pieces and then restoring each piece back to the original shape..?
no, cause you saw in that scene where the slime remains spilled from the bottle, the liquid came off the table and the clerks face and back into the bottle.
@@swarajshewale287 Yes, that is how I saw it as well, but some later moments seemed to yell a lot “does he even know what he will affect by fixing this and that?”. And yes, I know he sees the events when it is ongoing. I think this is the part where it is all just plot convenience as it often is. Which is all ok :-)
yes he can, but he don't want someone to be suspicious of him. Same thing he did with the mole horn
@@irasushimano6986 oh, ok
Thanks for the story. I sure would love to see more, please.
So, why doesn't the lead carry perishable food items and restore them? Heck he could have premade meals and zap. Instead they eat hard tac basically. Or jerky.
I wouldnt wanna carry the smell of expired/rotten food or drinks.
Awesome story
17:54 bro couldve been rich and high ranked by turning in acrapton of monster parts while he turns them in reoeatedly and regrows em

Can't he hold his blade out and just walk backward in combat, then restore his swords position so his blade is just inside the enemies heart?
More parts please

RESTORATION? lmao best skill ever
part 2 please
family friendly story i love it part 2 please
Would you be doing a other part
1:34 wait his gift is limited to non combat items? Then he wouldn't have been able to repair the blade while it was used in... follow me with this "combat".
It was targeted items involved in battles, meaning as long as something was involved in battle like his weapon or the bottle of slime fluids that broke because of a fight, it can be restored to it's past condition, and by the looks of it, he can also choose the restoration point between multiple battles like loading a save point in games as he also returned the B ranks skill after defining him
Man you can’t just abruptly end it like that
The fact that he can restore himself and other people to a younger age is op AF.
The goblin is buffed af
I am anxious why mo didn't draw sora!!
And one more thing - were we not fighting in FULL METAL ALCHEMIST for the same thing that this bro can do nonchalantly?? (Overwriting fair exchange/ just in alchemy not magic)

Good one bro❤❤
Mu counter attacking biting fleas is hilarious
So he could basically be immortal? Like he could constantly restore his body to be like a 25 year old.
This is a different but it looks really interesting I can't wait to see more
How does no one see the inherent value in being able to reverse the damage in a item, just hire him to be on standby and fix everyones gear

29:28 Wow. Miserable people just can't stand seeing someone in their situation happy.
How did he barely have a reaction when he revived her
Did the mantis also cut her nose off?
She comes out of the closet. After all that time he must have been disappointed !
As wise people say " I'm not afraid of someone winning thousands of bosses but someone who has won the same boss thousands of times".
In this case, it's the skill.
I only liked the part where he 'restored' the elf's youth. I stopped reading around the part where they camped in a river which, I think, is a little dragged out. Perhaps I may pick it up again after a few more chapters are out.
Was annoyed by the "why he just did not farm points with his old party..." but then, he only could spend on that skill and that could hinder their friends as he stacks ability points, so he goes solo and grind it till the top. Saw this tipy of example on games like final fantasy (best white magic 'holy' needs almost level 90/99) or gold fist for ayala on CT, etc. Real steel resolve here.
ps: thanks for the find, its rare to find stories like this, with dept and meaning. wtf, even the skill tree and other systems are not just a hologram out of a video game, extra points there.
Please keep this one up to date
"She comes out of the closet" eh...
Part 2
Imagine if he just created a weapons shop especializing in restoration. After he gets money, he could hire a party to get exp leech. Would be faster than spending 25 years gathering all those points
The money yes, the skill points no, he has to fight to earn skill points
@@hushsounds6486 the prob is since he is fighting solo, he cant get much skill points.
That was the point of getting money, hiring adventurers above him so he could get points faster. Like boosting in mmorpg
Crazy Diamond!
It was interesting for about 42 minutes. Then it got weird.
I wonder if he can restore a skill to be used again despite the cool down time not being reached? Also kinda feels like his restoration ability just changes its own rules from time to time. Like, if he can't restore things back to 100% and only 70%, then shouldn't his childhood friend maybe have a scar on her neck? Oh, but he can revert his bodies age if he wanted to. Also, the explanation for the skill tree is confusing. So he can basically reset skill trees and can reset the reset to make it go back to normal. He also showed his card with those three drunkards, which could have said something. Also, how did the inn landlord not realize nobody had entered the inn, thus meaning that Sora was already there. If he can only restore up to 70% of something, like a mole horn, then why was it mentioned many chapters after? It was never mentioned that he was explaining how it used to work and that he can restore to 100% now, so I can only assume that that was an attempt to make his ability seem less broken by putting a cap on it, but all that did was raise more questions and create plot holes. Does his ability have a cool down? Why doesn't he try to use it in an offensive way? Like restoring a goblin to before it was even able to pick up a weapon.
He could open up a restoration shop instead, at least on the side. Give the customer a time and price of restoration, usually being on the cheaper side, and just restoring it the moment they leave and tucking it away till the time comes for them to retrieve their stuff. During this time, he could still go on adventures, making more money. I've seen the whole video and still don't really understand how his skill works if it doesn't just restore to 100%.
12:06 But does it have 15 million guns?
Am i only one thinking i wouldve restored myself back to at least close to the age of my friend ive been working to save for the last 25 years??
I do understand where you're coming from cuz i also agree but it can be explained as the following(personal experience):You know the feeling when you work hard to get something done just for you to feel empty 10 sec later after getting what you wanted and ask yourself was it really worth it.
I guess for the MC it was but 25yo of endless trials, hard work and Roasting when they don't know what he's going through....it really kills someone from the inside. They massacred my boy the moment he started. And tbh i would have preferred if he turned himself at least 19 years younger. But the fact she rejected the idea kinda pisses me off because. If i was in his place i would always feel that sense of bitterness(a reality check)whenever i look at her
If he can reverse the age of people without restriction... then that can be an offensive skill;
Imagine if he turned that adventurer that likes to attack him into a newborn[a fetus if particularly devious];
CRAZY DIAMONDO!!! 🎺🎹🔥🔥
dude is probably the only protagonist the ability to restore his virginity 🤣
Isnt the mc technically immortal then? He can restore himself and inhuries of himself and others.
