A decade ago gpu workstations cost thousands and software cost thousands a year, and it all took forever just to get 1080p and you still had to make everything by scratch. Now you have freeware like Blender and basic modern computers can render in a decent amount of time at 4K for a fraction of the cost, and you can use the freed money to pay for services and models to just click buttons and make things with ease.
That's right! And it's becoming very easy for actors with all this new technology to become their own producer and just start producing new short films, documentaries and even youtube video content by using their own 'acting abilities' to their advantage.
I think actors should just stay actors if only if there acting career falls off because actors can go years without a job. Let's say an actor only got one role for a movie and after that nothing else then I will say become a producer. But I see some actors being in 35 or 100 movies in still become a producer or director. Let me just say this and I'm not being mean but if I am a producer and I want to hire a actor/actress and see on there resume that they are a producer I wouldn't hire them because if I'm looking for an actor I need to see that there passionate about acting not producing, like okay what is it you really want to do? Like with me I only want to be a producer and Screenwriter. Producers do write there own script but for an actor to be an actor and a producer it makes me think what do you really want to do?
Yes, actors are notoriously stupid, mel Gibson is a rarity, to be a talented actor ,director and actual producer - not just a credit - and to have told the truth about (((Hollywood))) and been able to bounce back , he is truly blessed.
