Thank you for your encouraging words, I really appreciate it! Yes. My goal is to continue to produce more teaching videos on Cell Phone movie making, its just that I also work with clients producing Videos for them, so that keeps me very busy. But... I know the importance to keep making teaching filmmaking videos. BTW, I visited your 'AtomicBlast Channel' (Congratulations on creating a movie channel base on your movie making passion) ... and although I'm not into horror films, I did like your 'Waspzilla Trailer' I love the Wasp Effects it looks very real, I think you have a GREAT movie there, would love to see it when finished. I'm sure you may know that James Cameron (Titanic/Director) started making small (very low-budget) indie films with Roger Corman an old film director from the 50's and 60's, you need to study him. He's not as well known because he was never a Hollywood player, he was always very Independent (making films away from the Hollywood system). A number of noted filmmakers (including directors, producers, writers, and cinematographers) have worked with Roger Corman, usually early in their careers, including Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, Ron Howard, Polly Platt, Peter Bogdanovich, Declan O'Brien, Armondo Linus Acosta, Paul Bartel, Jonathan Demme, Donald G. Jackson, Gale Anne Hurd, Carl Colpaert, Joe Dante, James Cameron, John Sayles, Monte Hellman, Carl Franklin, George Armitage, Jonathan Kaplan, George Hickenlooper, Curtis Hanson, Jack Hill, Robert Towne, Menahem Golan, James Horner, and Tmur Bekmambetov. Many have said that Corman's influence taught them some of the ins and outs of filmmaking. In the extras for the DVD of The Terminator, director James Cameron said the following; "I trained at the Roger Corman Film School."

Making content is making content regardless of what its focus is. There are many people looking to do this, it could be an outreach.

Why is that important? Is it more important than an indie satanic horror cult film hit that wins a jury prize at Sundance and is swiftly picked up by Amazon or Netflix, and the Director gets three picture deal at Sony from this success? I'd take the three picture deal with Satan! LOLOL!!!

It's not an Arri yet, but... It's good enough to make small indie movies with it. That's what we are working on.👍

Vaxxed Films, there is no Pro Sound Gear Connections on the smartphones, but... they do have several 'Audio Adapter plugs' that can be hooked up to most any Smartphone. It really depends on which smartphone you are going for. Right now, the best Alternative (sound wise) is to go with Recording Separate Audio (old film style) with a Zoom H1n Digital Recorder. (See my post above) I did a quick Short Film Test with my new iPhone 14 Pro. Some people say the iPhone 14 Pro is not perfect (but nothing ever is). But what I see in it... is that it has everything I need to make any kind of short film or feature movie. In the past, I've made movies with 10 times less quality than the iPhone 14 Pro. I'm really sold on this iPhone, and I too getting rid of some of the DSLRs. Soon I will post a video on to to shoot with the iPhone 14 Pro. Thanks for asking!

Yes, GoPro as good too, but not ideal for movie making. Because the iPhone does a lot more than a GoPro Can do. The iPhone 14 Pro has a Cinematic button, that lets you throw the background out of focus (movie lens style), also; no gimbal is required, meaning no more dollies or steady-cam required. In fact, you can even do small Jib/crane moves shots too.

Dex, really appreciate your post, thank you, As an indie filmmaker (nothing to do with Hollywood) what I see happening is that smartphone's camera Quality are getting better each year, and right now, the iPhone 14 Pro can do just as good as most HD or 4K cameras out there. And the time has come, that anyone with a movie idea and some Video Production background can make a good basic movie. Of course... If... they know what they are doing:) And that's what I'm trying to teach.

Hermes, I totally agree with you, Sir. Thank you for your post, I really appreciate it. It's just that we are a ministry for the Lord. That's all we do 24/7. Our niche market is for Christian Filmmakers and Equipping Churches in Social Media Productions. Yet, anyone who sees our videos will take something positive from it, since we have over 30 years of experience in film and digital video productions. We use very 'simple' Indie Filming Techniques and Concepts so that we may keep our budgets low, but yet produce Entertaining quality feature features, shorts or social media videos. Thank You!!! 👍

Yup the Bible thumping made the creepy meters peak red , The truly spiritually connected people don’t need to say it , it radiates from them . They inspire you to ask them and they then share . But those that just constantly have to reinforce all the time … seem very nervous in there belief and give a serials killer vibe . But the info on the video was good and would have really been a blessing with out the over the top thumping . Have a blessed day and relax a little

Yes, actors are notoriously stupid, mel Gibson is a rarity, to be a talented actor ,director and actual producer - not just a credit - and to have told the truth about (((Hollywood))) and been able to bounce back , he is truly blessed.

That's right! And it's becoming very easy for actors with all this new technology to become their own producer and just start producing new short films, documentaries and even youtube video content by using their own 'acting abilities' to their advantage.

Yes, that's about right! but of course, it depends on the scene's general action timing. Actor and Scene Direction should be like Directing a dance or music... it all has a specific timing and beat.

Hi Cameron, the 85mm and up lens for close ups or even medium shots sound correct! because the goal is to keep the face to look as Natural as possible (shape wise), because using a wider angle lens (lower than 50mm) and moving closer will deform the face a little. That's one reason... The 2nd reason is that anything from 50mm and up to 85mm is ideal to create a 'shallow depth of field' (throwing the background out-of-focus), which is also ideal for creating 'background separation' while creating a Cinematic look and feel.
