There's something I didn't understand. How can you filter limit orders? Don't you need level 3 data in order to know the composition of those limit orders? I thought that type of data was only available to market makers

How can you tell that the orders were placed 10 seconds apart, they seem to be placed at the same x coordinate ?

If you zoom in, you'll see that they're approx. 10s apart. The x-axis scale has been compressed for the narrow video format. Bookmap allows you to zoom into nanosecond resolution.
