- This is my new 2013 GT with the Borla S-Type axle-back (still has resonators and stock mid-pipe). Video shot on a Nikon D7000. The video is a little long, sorry! But I will upload another video of just what the Borla's sound like soon!
got a good scholarship to college so this was my parents graduation gift..long story, just know i am extremely thankful for my parents. I had a lifted 03 silverado before which was a lot of fun
The bright red LED tails look GREAT with the red paint. Beautiful sound!
no drones at all. and yes, I did it all in my garage with the help of my brother. I just had to wiggle with the over-axle pipes but the only bolts i loosened were the ones for the mufflers
Sorry for late responses! The S-Type is perfect, I don't have any drone and I have driven through all the rmp range to check. There shouldn't be anyways and talking is easy. It is very subtle but once you get to WOT, its an amazing sound. I just recently took out one of the foam pieces in the sound tube and that has made the cabin noise louder but thats it.
from what I have heard, I am glad I went with the S-Types because if I plan on doing anything else with my exhaust system, it won't be too loud. with the roush a/b, it can get out of control..just my .02
My borla s type axleback should be delivered by tomorrow. I cant wait !
yeah, anything else with roush is unreal! haven't heard the hushpowers in person but i can agree with what you are saying, they get louder (good louder) with more exhaust modifications
Just put those on mine a week ago. Love em. Had 3 other brands. Settled with these.

I was actually able to pick up a set of Flowmaster Hushpowers for pretty cheap and im super excited to do the rest of my exhaust now cause they get pretty loud with more upgrades but not excessively loud like you are saying about the roushes. thanks for the feed back!

Absolutely PERFECT tone and sound...I swear I got goosebumps at 2:20. On another topic, what did you use / how did you black out the chrome GT logo surround on the deck lid? Looks great!

its all personal opinion. slp's are too raspy for me and thats why i didn't get ATAKs, i love the s-types
ATAKs aren’t raspy. Thats what I always hear people say. That’s what I have on my 13 gt. Atak axleback and it sounds mean as hell
Sounds good, I'm curious to know if you have a lot of drone in the cab. Specially on long drives.

there is no drone if there is call borla they will fix it or send you a new one and it should just bolt right up to the factory mid pipe
Its OK not bad like the rouch exhaust the flowmaster for the price is not worth it I personally like the SLP Axel back exhaust
How do you like the S Type...I am looking to get that system. Is it a lot louder than the stock? How is is when you are driving....is is really loud in the car? It is hard to talk? I need to decide between the s type and the touring. Thanks

Hi there. I was thinking of buying this axle back for my 13 GT. Any drones? Where you able to install the axle back without loosening or removing the midpipes?

Damn your lucky man! I'm pretty jealous. I would be happy with a 2013 V6 mustang but i can't afford it and parents don't wanna help me pay for it. I know the 2013 5.0's like your car are making 420 HP at the crank..is this car plenty fast stock? Or do you feel like you should do some engine mods to make it faster?

Nah you have to hear the ATAKs in person. I have them on my 13 Gt. It sounds insane. Very unique growl. Sounds amazing

The SLP's are drone prone, and are extremely raspy. Everyone has there own taste.
omg, the 2011-2014 sounds so incredible better than these new 2015´s ...dont know what they did but evry vid a saw was disappointing comparing to these older Stang´s !

Roush is made by Borla

Roush axle backs are the straight through muffler made by Borla and used in the past. I think the steel in the Borlas is of a higher quality though.
SpyderRios Roush is straight....borla s is "s" shaped in themuffler design
BlackStallion Doesn't matter, the roush mufflers don't hold a candle to these, they are much higher pitched.

John Lucero Just go with an off road Xpipe and these borla S-types, or the Borla ATAKs. loud and still sounds great.
Or save money and get Roush or Flowmaster Outlaws. I don't think the outlaws sound that good but they are loud as fuck.

Dalton Radcliffe Do you know how this axle-back sounds compared to the Borla ATAK? People say the attack sounds similar but designed to not drone inside as much, just trying to find out if it's worth the extra cost over the S-Type.

Being loud doesn’t always mean better sounding. Tone is more important. But these and the ATAKs are pretty loud bro you have to hear them in person
