I ran away from home with my then 17 year old boyfriend when I was 16..I can remember spending the day in this cemetery because we had no place else to go..We parked on a little hill out of the awful summer heat and debated on how to get ourselves out of the mess that we were in..That was back in the early 80's and I am happy to say that we were both blessed with amazing futures..The things that we do as teens can be so crazy and unplanned but I guess that is what it means to live and to learn from our mistakes..Thank you for sharing this to RUclips because I have not been back there since that mixed up time in my life..It brought back some bittersweet memories while watching it..
The wright brothers lived here and there family is still here. Go to the highest peak at dusk. My hangout from 1970 till 1982 i come back and visit. My mom will be buried here she is 90 and still kickin. Now she can tell you some history
Used to live & walk thru Woodand Nearly Every Day..My NIEBORHOOD.. Feed he Ducks Daily with my Little Boy and once Helped Save an injured Duck . Believe Agness Moorhead is also burred here..The hemlock Trees are beautiful as ALL The INTIRE Cemetary is So peaceful, Miss Charlie who was also one of the Very Last existing Grave Diggers of Our Day here..and Never During a Lighting storm Run for Cover Under ANY Large Tree, as one worker had Been struck one day while maintaning the Grounds, at his job. We Miss the Beautiful Huge Willow Tree that Hung over the Pond That we Visited Daily. Fabulous Graceful Lovely Highest point jn Dayton Ohio too, That overlooks the City of Dayton. mlou, not ;
