To know that Ronnie wrote this song after binge playing the halo series. That's what this song is about. The video game Halo... he even says so himself. It's crazy
+Alex Rocha I stopped listening to this kind of music as soon as I graduated high school (2012). so many flashbacks i get whenever i listen to this, and out of all these hardcore bands ETF is only one that remains within my likes and preferences. Such a great band I haven't forgotten of.
Remember it like it was yesterday. Warped Tour 2007 in Indianapolis and I was a senior in high school. My and my buddy were on the other end of the venue when we hear Escape the Fate start their show with The Guillotine on one of the side stages that was basically all dirt in front of the stage. We immediately started running over to that stage since that was one of our favorite songs and all you could see was a cloud of dust in front of the stage from the mosh pit that started from that first breakdown. Great times!!
this song is about halo 2 ETF used to play halo 2 with their fans before they were big they loved the game so much they thought they would write a song
+Sun Warrior si è vero, anche se io personalmente preferisco craig. però è anche vero che questo era il periodo migliore di ronnie, infatti tolte alcune canzoni del primo album i falling in reverse non mi fanno impazzire
Matthew Smith I'm slightly ashamed to admit that I do enjoy Bad Girls Club from time to time (it's really fucking catchy, ok?) HOWEVER, Ronnie, dude. Seriously. He's so much better than that song.
Haha well there is no need to be ashamed, its your musical interest personally I can't stand it but if it makes you happy there is no need to have to be ashamed of it because its your musical interest not other people's c: but really I think he should reevaluate what he's doing
Well, at least he's doing what he loves, and seems to be enjoying it lol. I do wish the music was written at a similar quality to what it used to be, but at least it is pretty damn catchy for the most part.
Haha when I'm playing Halo I listen to this song non stop, lol and when I'm on the mic and Im doing the death growls everybody in the match is like wtf is she really growling that low? it suprises me how people think we girls cant do it XD
I remember getting into an ETF show in Denver for free because of Carson (old member) and when they played this song I lost my shit, holy fucking nostalgia

Literally here for the same reason lmao
The lyrics and Halo both apply to the technocrat's AI systems that they are building, too.
Duh?
I don’t care if this is about Halo I’ll still play it on loop while I play Borderlands 2. And Halo
interesting you say that the devs of borderlands got their start making a halo port from the xbox to pc
Woah what do u mean it's about halo?? Fr?
@@christicorza9699 song mentions the covenant, spartans (its literally in the lyrics)
Can I join with ya? XD playing on ps
Lmao I listened to this song when it came out and just realized it's halo -.-
2008-2009 was such a good year for post hardcore

2007 - 2013 Pierce the veil

ABSOLUTELY STILL SLAPS 10+ YEARS LATER!
"we fight to live, we fight for pride, we wont back down, the weak wont survive"
Good observation
Their low growls are so good. Just love them!!
Yeah but this is sadly old escape the fates heaviest song. I really hate Ronnie's singing voice. But dude can bang them lows, forreal!
Ronnie sings okay, I can listen to it but Craig are better. I like the old ETF
I like his singing
Leon Olsson your post is very contradictive who taught you English!

3:16 through the end of the song is perfection.
omg. the low screams are actually kinda scary. which makes them incredible
Ben Zeltser Not Really, he Lowered the pitch on them in this song.
that is simply sad.
HappyPlumz incorrect, look up live videos of Ronnie doing this song, his lows are exactly the same
Still listening in 2018

The “charge the gates” lows make me think of the brutes from Halo
Nostalgia.
+Sun Warrior si è vero, anche se io personalmente preferisco craig. però è anche vero che questo era il periodo migliore di ronnie, infatti tolte alcune canzoni del primo album i falling in reverse non mi fanno impazzire
saw them last night with Sleep Signals, Attila, and All That Remains, still badass despite Robert being the only original member left🤘🏻💯
i gotta say, this may just be their best song.
This song has the best solo they ever wrote.
I love this song. Ronnie has an amazing voice. cant believe he was fired from the band.
The end is so creepy, i mean its so odd.
It's was because of drugs
@@oreowolf6689 u r kinda cringe

What this band could have become if Ronnie had stayed....damn.
Just look into Ronnie's newer stuff. His mixtape. His new band etc
Ronnie didn’t just leave, they ousted him.
Soooo, how exactly does one go from writing music like this to writing Bad Girls Club?
Oh my god you restore my faith in society.......... Nobody else notices that small difference? XD

i miss the old escape the fate with Ronnie :( but he's doing a lot better in falling in reverse!!
I hate how egos and drama ruined everything for everybody.
Loved the guitar solo! :) Terrific. Reminds me kind of dragon force.
I feel like Ronnie likes Halo :o
runescape pk videos made etf popular i swear lmao
This song has always been about halo 2 for me. They are Spartans, they spawned for the darkest hour, they fight on lock out, against the covenant.
skyeatsyourface it has covenet reference and Spartans lol when he says promise me you won't leave my side. reference to Cortona in my opinion
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Half way through 2016, Still remembered this song....
If like this? Of course, love these growls...
Am I the only one who thinks, "my apocalypse" would be the better title for this song and "the guillotine" would be the better one for my apocalypse?
2020 still amazing
just realized this was about Halo
I cried in this song. It's beautiful. It means a lot to me.
Thank you for singing this so good Ronnie. :)
14 years later. Still awakens the beast inside. Best adrenaline rush out there still. 2023 baby

I pooped myself screaming this.
Reminds me of A7x. That is, they were really good in the beginning and took a turn towards a whole different genre of music later on.
