Lipsett Diaries

This animated short by Theodore Ushev depicts the maelstrom of anguish that tormented Arthur Lipsett, a famed Canadian experimental filmmaker who died at the age of 49. His descent into depression and madness is explored through a series of images as well as sounds taken from Lipsett's own work.

I'm from India. This beautiful film portrayed everything that has been going on through my mind. I never felt like I belonged here, I never feel that the life I'm living is the life that I'm supposed to live. It's supposed to be greyscale but everything is actually black and white. Everyday I go through this existential dilemma. But where am I supposed to go to, who am I supposed to go to, nothing feels real. Nothing.

I usually dont care for canadian shorts, but this is so deep in meaning that is is a must see.

wow, I'm gobsmacked - this.is.amazing.I'd love to know if it's all painted on computer or still partly? with hand.... it must have been an awful lot of work.

carlosaoconnor it would be great if there were at least english transcripts. I am too not from an english speaking country and I surely miss a lot - that's sad :(
