  • Pamela's serving thighs with a side of Bacon on a relaxing Friday the 13th.
But uh-oh! It turns out that Camp Crystal Lake is home to a machete-wielding maniac with a penchant for turning sexy teenagers into minced meat. The "chop-tastic" action begins as our promiscuous protagonists meet their gory fates, one by one.
    "Then he's still there."

3:34 I love that you immediately noticed it says New Jersey. 43 years later and fans of the series still argue about where it's supposed to take place.

They do? I always thought this was extremely obvious. I mean....different Friday the 13th movies have been filmed in different places but that doesn't change where the first one established this all takes place..

Yes, this entire movie was filmed in New Jersey. Camp Nobebosco is a Boy Scout camp that still operates today in Hardwick NJ. The town scenes were filmed in Blairstown NJ which remains mostly unchanged today.

Honestly as schlocky as it is, this first entry in the franchise is genuinely a pretty good and scary horror movie, considering the low budget. I love 80's horror so much.

Well, BUDGETS don't necessarily make movies “bad” or "great". I mean, if they DID then THAT would mean that all those big dumb bloated Hollywood action “blockbusters” are the highest caliber of artistic quality and achievement, now wouldn't it?
Oh, and actually A LOT of “classic” HORROR films, in particular, have been smaller budgeted and independently produced. Like, to cite a few very obvious examples, Night of the Living Dead, Black Christmas, Last House on the Left, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Halloween. Now none of THOSE were exactly made with your big lumbering Hollywood mega budgets.

I totally agree! I absolutely love all of the films you listed! I just meant I was pleasantly surprised by it. I've been watching horror films since I was 3, so I totally have an appreciation for big budget and small budget films alike. Absolutely love Sam Raimi's Evil Dead films and anything from John Carpenter, Wes Craven, Tobe Hooper, Roger Corman, etc. Been collecting films (particularly horror films) since DVD's were released. Have an extensive collection of VHS, LaserDisc, DVD, Bluray, 3D Bluray. No Betamax tapes or CED's tho... haha 😄

Hello Deasha! I’m a new subscriber since i learned that you’re reacting to some great and classic movies that are more than thirty years old. I really love your reactions throughout Friday The 13th (1980) and am excited to see you react to some of the sequels (Parts 2-VII).

Why leave out The Evil Dead (1981)? You can’t expect someone to skip the first movie and dive into watching Evil Dead 2. What’s next skipping Alien to only start by watching Aliens?

I will forever be mad at 'Scream' for ruining the twist of this movie. It literally was a shocker in the 80s. Everytime I see a reactor start with I saw Scream so I already know who the killer is I immediately stop watching. It ruins the whole surprise.

So many reactors start with Scream and then moves on to F13th and other slashers, when Scream should really be watched after having seen all those movies.

@@ztomas1 I'm talking about spoiled the twist for people who hadn't yet seen the original Friday the 13th. It doesnt spoil the movie for me but It spoils watching the reactions to the first Friday the 13th cause they already know the twist which was a big shock to 80s kids and teens who saw it then. I love to see reactions where they don't know basically anything going in.

"What are you talking about? That was in '58. These campers have nothing to do with it!" ...much like United States taxpayers today have nothing to do with slavery nor with student loan debt they didn't accrue.

How does Ralph know what he knows? He't totally a messenger of God. Definitely a unique take on who should survive. You have to watch Cabin in the Woods sometime if you haven't just to see why people act the way they do in slasher films.

I have to say that this is my favorite channel.
I remember that this movie was on betamax, but I later watched this on VHS when Blockbuster Video was open for business. The chase scenes always end with someone tripping over a tree stump or branch.

Well, I was always stuck on this one and I’ve been watching this movie since it first came out. The cop said two of my deputies pulled you out of the water. They thought you were dead too. He never said anything about a canoe. So who knows if it happened or not.

Friday the 13th, one of the classic horror films in history and at the same time with strong scenes that is currently somewhat criticized, An anecdote about this film, In the US, Europe the film is distributed by Paramount Pictures, But in Latin America and some countries The distribution is by Warner Bros Pictures. So in some countries it is exclusively on HBO Max
I hope you are well Deashas. I feel a little better after suffering a car accident

Deashas Always Watching here's a little Guide when it comes surviving Misses Voorhees's baby boy in the Sequels!
    Camp Crystal Lake Survival Guide
Do's 4 everybody teenage years & older that'll potentially end up meeting him (Jason Voorhees) in person
    #1 Use Your Head
    #2 Embrace Your Inner Child
#3 Fight Back if embracing your inner child doesn't work & there's no escape/other way out or if help ain't coming
#4 If ya encounter Jason Voorhees or severed body part of someone (1 of his apparent victims) get the heck outta there faster than fast & no hanging/sticking around
#5 When it comes 2 Jason Voorhees always use the buddy system by making certain/sure your buddy's slower, weaker or dumber than you're
Don't's 4 everybody teenage years as well as older years that'll probably end up meeting him (Jason Voorhees) in person & potentially/most likely end up dead somewhere in his wilderness
#1 Don't: Play the kind of Jokes/Pranks that Ned Rubenstein, Theodore Bowen, Scott Cheney, Sheldon P. "Shelly" Finkelstein & Edward Kelso play because if there's 1 thing Jason Voorhees hates more than humanity it's a jovial jokester/prankster
    #2 Don't: Abstain
    #3 Don't: Preach
    #4 Don't: Be A Dude (Male Gender)
#5 Don't: Go off by yourself 2 sulk, think or be alone
#6 Don't: Go Skinny Dipping in the lake that's a sure fire death sentence
#7 If ya find severed body part of a friend or camp counselor don't stay & investigate
#8 Don't: Try 2 Play Mind Games with Jason Voorhees or pretend that you're his mother
#9 Don't: Flirt with the gals/guys in sexual activity of any kind (Hanky Panky)
    #10 Don't: Take the tent
#11 Don't: Rely on a tool more complicated than a pointy stick
#12 Don't: physically Touch Jason Voorhees or mentally try 2 reason with Jason Voorhees
#13 Don't: Offer Jason Voorhees anything that's including your credit card
#14 Don't: Try 2 Unmask Jason Voorhees or give him Mouth 2 Mouth
#15 Don't: Get Jason Voorhees wet
#16 If you're in close proximity of seemingly deceased Jason Voorhees don't touch him don't step over him don't try 2 move him 2 another location/place because he's just going 2 get up & be extremely/very p'd/ticked off
#17 Don't: Go digging up Jason Voorhees from his grave if he's been dead 4 years he'll only come back 2 life & will either succeed in killing ya or try 2 kill ya
#18 Don't: In any way tease or taunt the telekinetic girl because in the end you'll want that gal on your side
#19 Don't: Take the Camp Crystal Lake boat cruise 2 New York
    #20 Don't: Show your breasts
#21 Don't: Turn around in general because Jason Voorhees will likely/probably be right there behind ya
#22 If ya go 2 Camp Crystal Lake don't bring the Hockey Mask from Friday the 13th Part 3 because Jason Voorhees is just going 2 come & take it from ya
#23 If the lights are out & everybody's missing don't make a pot of coffee/any drink or anything 4 breakfast/lunch/dinner
#24 Don't: Hide in a/the Sleeping Bag because it's just another 1 of Jason Voorhees's favorite ways 2 kill ya
#25 Don't: Go back 4 anything ya lost anywhere
#26 Don't: Wait until ya need the gun 2 see if it's loaded
#27 Don't: Go 2 your car/jeep/van it most likely won't start either because it's out of gas or Jason Voorhees has been there
#28 Don't: Sign on 2 do a sequel because he (Jason Voorhees) is going 2 come back & permanently get cha anyway
#29 Don't: Say he's dead I killed him (Jason Voorhees) or worst of all it's over because it's not over it never is
#30 Don't: Enter or go anywhere dangerously close/near his (Jason Voorhees) grounds/home/territory (Camp Crystal Lake AKA Camp Blood/Camp Dead in the Wessex County National Forest of New Jersey) because there's a Death Curse there
#31 Don't: Be a douche towards each other
    #32 Don't: Be a Junkie/Drug Addict
#33 Don't: Be a Slut because Sluts are always/often/usually the 1st on Jason Voorhees hit list 2 die (Female Gender)

@@ASKMEABOUTMYGARDEN Yes I think it's creepy when someone significantly older is hitting on someone significantly younger.... I pointed out the creepyness of it in the video, you are the one that made it out to be specifically about men.

    • @ASKMEABOUTMYGARDEN
      @ASKMEABOUTMYGARDEN Месяц назад

@DeashasAlwaysWatching that's true..but they obviously had a relationship..and I was just commenting on the sign of the times..when older women get younger men it's " YOU GO GIRL"...but the opposite is creepy...am I wrong?

    • @ASKMEABOUTMYGARDEN
      @ASKMEABOUTMYGARDEN Месяц назад

@DeashasAlwaysWatching they have a 15 year age gap..the older you get the less creepy it is I guess..my wife is 19 years older than I ( I pursued her) we've been together 28 years...but if it were reversed,in this society I would be a creep, even if she were the one that pursued me.
