The city of Bath, in England's West Country, has been
famed as a health spa for hundreds of years. It is also
renowned for its fine Georgian achitecture, which is
now being threatened by modern developers. It is a
classic case of the clash between the desire to
preserve the past and the need to provide for the
requirements of a modern society. This report gives
the background to the conflict between conservationists
and planners and shows how the character of the
city is changing.

strange to watch buildings under construction that are no longer there...
A curse on the people who did so much damage to my beloved Bath
I was a student at Bath in the early 1980s and I'd read about the Baedeker raids in WW2 and thought that the local council and city planners did a lot more damage than the Luftwaffe.
In the first 10 seconds of the clip, why on earth is Bath being shown on the map where Cheddar/Burnham-on-Sea is? They have the location about 30 miles SW down the Bristol channel to where it should be!
My brother aged 34 died in one of those "unit's of accomodation" how right that man speaking was..caused a lot of misery not rebuilding good homes but units.
Don’t forget to Remember 👺🤡👺🤡Remembrance 🆘💯🆘💯🆘💯 Restoration Beautiful Bath Avon 🙏👏👏👏
Where are they all now?
