I cannot understand how these people composed this song. I mean how can three people sing a song with different sections and yet get it perfectly. It's just genius.
The song was written by Madilu system, he wrote only two "Ban Gai , he would go on to have a very success full career after passed". He was 55 years of heart attack in Kinshasa. Franco bands have always had four vocalists plus him
The only reason most of us Kenyans enjoy this song, unlike the Congolese is coz we don't understand a word they sing. We enjoying the tune, rhythm, emotion and passion. Learning the meaning of the lyrics takes that away, hence you don't find many congolese here.

It is one of their best indeed, just look at the stage organisation: The vocalists, the percussionists, and those on the guitars, That drummer at his own stage, and there comes the freeze by the dancers, actually every thing points to organisation typical of TPOK Jazz!!!!!!
@AboubacarSiddikh when listening to Franco, not enough! I hear something new every time I play one of his songs and I think to my self I have never heard that before - after forty years of listening to his music - that is how good he is.

Try and listen to tis on a soround system or verr good headphones - you can hear the individual vocals from individual speakers - done well before soround was invented in a Nairobi studio of a tape machine!

Thanks so much for posting this! I still love this music. It brings back so many good memories from my life in East Africa during the 80s-early 90s!
Wow!!!Amen,sir #Bob East
The four vocalists in this songs are phenomenal, the way they compliment each other.. Lugendo, Bonyime, Aime to Madilu❤❤❤❤❤

This is my favorite song. Whenever I listen to it, I feel better emotionally.
A masterpiece of sorts. It will live the ultimate test of time. This was before society went amok in 1980...s.May the maestro rest in everlasting glory.

i love originality.... this is the best that you can get, when it comes to the real rumba music!
Angelic voices, heavenly instrumentation, divine arrangement.
2013 and still counting.... T.P O.K songs will outlive very many generations.
Maduli System continue to rest in peace, you left too soon . This is a classic.
2024 we here..good music lives forever.

Always fresh... Amazing
I watch this always liking how the Master is looking at Malage de Lugendo. He must hav bn seeing a talented young man in front of him.
He was great.even madilu knee, he was a threat
pesa position na yo. The greatest song ever played by TP OK Jazz. Madilu's superlative song. The best ever !!!
Chikaka Chama yeah I agree if u could have said ever played by madilu otherwise remember mangwana ,kiambukta, did I just mention kiambukta oh that guy no one could agree more is de best vocalist
Moses Taracha
I do agree with you Moses. Josky was the best vocalist ever. His knd of singing gets me dancing all day.
Franco named him System for a reason. None of the other TP Ok Jazz vocalists or even members evolved better than Madilu.
Hiyo 🎸 ni Franco
The reason I love this song with Madilu system he personally wrote the song.
This is a Wuta Mayi composition. Madilu was just a lead vocalist.
No please. This is Madilu System composition. Wuta Mayi had already left TP OK Jazz
My all time favorite...used to listen to this song 1990 when l was in standard 8..May Franco's and Madilu's souls continue rip
Awesome...i can't stop listening!!!
groot verschil met Utrecht 87, lekker ontspannen gespeeld
Heimwee naar de ook voor mij gouden muzikale tijden
Franco was in the background most of the time but his presence was tangible,he had no need to hig the stage, let others shine too
Hey.
Who is the singer taking from 0:34?
Is it Ntesa or Malage?
Very true
