    I got sent an FDM 3D printer by Ankermake and finally I get a chance to start a project I have wanted to do for a very long time!I am a complete beginner when it comes to FDM printing, so when I saw that Ankermake where making the claim that their printers are beginner friendly, of course, I really wanted to give it a try because who doesn't want a beginner friendly but high quality printer? AnkerMake M5C is a 3D printer with high speed & high precision and is designed to easily customise functions in one click. I was amazed at how easy it was to get started. This video is part 1 of a 2 part series and in this video I print off one of the coolest models I have seen in preparation for a very exciting project I am working on :)

    Grats on the new printer and great vid Michael. I looked at printing out that exact smaug head(pretty sure it was that one) a while back but scaling it to wall mount size. Cool stuff, looks like a great printer!

      Thanks Neil! Yeah was considering the same but wanted to print it all in one print... the model does also come in a version that is cut in 3 pieces, so maybe a bigger one will happen some day! Hope you are well bro ;)

    That is a classy looking printer, and a great result. I can't believe how well it came out with just plug and play settings, and auto-generated supports!

    Nice work, Michael! The break away bits seemed to come loose pretty easily, revealing the details beneath. Can’t wait to see how you incorporate Smaug into a scene. I know it’ll be awesome. Love Biscuit, too! Hope your wee daughter is well. Speaking of wee, I think it actually added to the hilarity of the video that you were stuck on the loo 🚽 when it finished. Wife’s amusement is priceless. Here’s hoping you get some time in from IRL work to spend with this & other projects.

    I haven't checked out the FDM printers. That one does look easy to use...but one quick question...you were able to print that whole piece without refilling anything?
    I will go watch some other videos to get an idea on how they work because i am completely clueless about printers.
    I didn't want to dive into one because i knew learning all the requirements would break my wee brain

    I don't have a 3D printer but have been eyeing loads of resin ones bc minis. This FDM printer looks pretty good though! How is the smell (which I have heard is an issue with resin printers)?

    • @Nat1videos
      @Nat1videos  8 месяцев назад +1

      There is very little smell from this printer... way less smelly than resin printing! My wife actually said that she far prefers this printer because there is less smell. I should have said that in the video now that I think about it ...
