Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 Departs Gering, NE

Sit back and enjoy this series of videos showcasing Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 and the 2023 Home Plate Express. We begin in the morning at Gering, where the Union Pacific Steam Crew is busy preparing the locomotive and train for the busy day ahead. Upon a timely departure from town, we jump ahead to capture the train traveling through several picturesque locations along the Union Pacific's South Morrill Subdivision. We conclude just East of Sutherland, where the 2023 Home Plate Express swings East through the junction to meet up with the UP Sidney Subdivision. From here, it's a straight Easterly direction of travel to the day's destination of North Platte. There's only a couple of days left before the magnificent locomotive will find itself proudly on display for the College World Series in Omaha. Thank you all very much for watching! Rate. Comment.
