So I get a bill from BOTH Nextamp and my regular supplier. Where does the savings come in if I'm paying 2 bills now for the same electricity?? Confused Terri

If they're not clear it's probably not going to benefit you. However, if you're curious you can signup but before signing and agreeing, read the fine print in the contract. Also, according to this video, you can cancel at any time, so make sure that is also true by reading the contract.

The savings are in the fact that your utility provider is BUYING BACK the energy that was produced from the community solar farm (that you would have a share in if you signed up with one) at a massively reduced rate. They then pass those savings along to you because they got the energy for much cheaper than if they had to produce it themselves. I don't get why all of these videos do not do a better job at explaining this part but that is essentially how it works. Here's something else you can read... This is from the State of Maine's website... www.maine.gov/meopa/electricity/renewable-energy/community_solar
