Great to see a good video on the good ol' S200!!! I remember years ago, when I first saw the S200 advertised, it stated, "great air rifle for beginners, juniors" now I giggle at that... Well, I can say, after owning many expensive air guns, I tried a pimped up S200 and I was so much in awe that I grabbed 4 of them up to this date! And since then I have hunted in California for jackrabbit, ground squirrels, cotton tails, and pest control on starlings, pigeons etc, generally small game. Target shooting is a blast at the range, shooting out to 110 yards. People tend to ask, what is that thing yer shooting!? Don't let this smallish size air rifle fool you, it is a serious little sniper, deadly in the right hands...most of my kill shots are 65-90 yards! And if you end up, polishing the trigger components, and adding a 1.5 cylinder with a regulator, and a gauge with a quick-fill from Altaros, and a larger cocking bolt, and then dress it up with a "Element Optics Helix 6-24x50 scope, then you will see the scary accuracy that the phenomenal cold hammer CZ barrel can give! It's lightweight, scary accurate, can set it at different power settings, my favorite being 13-14fpe., though I have had one of the S200's at 26fpe!! Mind you I'm talking about 1.77 caliber. I love this caliber because the trajectory is just phenomenal, and with the JSB Heavies it sure does deliver! A gem I would say :-), and those who have one of these beauties, would say the same...
Brilliant rifles, i have one in. 177 modified it quite a bit, regulator, quick fill and gauge, Rowan engineering trigger, 80 shots per fill, pinpoint accuracy, what's not to like, good video pal keep them coming, 😁👍
That's pretty much exactly my hunting set up. S200, Vantage scope, cheap bipod and 10 shot mag. They're a bit expensive new but I went the 2nd hand route. A complete very light accurate hunter for sub £400. I love it. Good vid as always mate
Great vid Robin and nice location.I bought a second hand s200.It came with hawke scope,10 shot conversion and I gave it the ratworks treatment which included a regulator. All for £500!Bargain.It’s a cracking bit kit for a first pcp. Thanks again buddy.Atvb👍🏻😁
My wife has an S200 Mk3 in .177, fantastic rifle and very accurate. Hers has an Optisan scope with nice clear optics and a Zeadio bipod. Great Squirreling video.
Just a point of interest to you maybe. There is a company that makes in-line spinner baits for fishing called Rooster Tail here in the USA and they pay for squirrel tails. Maybe a little more revenue for you. Don't know if you would make any money or not after mailing them across the pond, but there it is.
You cannot go wrong with AirArms rifles, I've got a 15 year old S410 and it 'Does exactly what it says on the tin', paid about £300 inc a Hawke scope and a moderator,I get it serviced regularly by a very good mate for a parts only fee ,(I sort him with fresh eggs and a few packs of my own home cured bacon). why break the bank on anything else other than a new AA S410.
Great video as always Robin, I like the string around the tree trick to test zero, I shall be giving that a go. Nice to see a rifle at the cheaper end of the market working well & proving its worth. Look forward to the ratting video soon.
Good shooting and a great video. Squirrels are one of the few feral pests not imported here into Australia. So it’s interesting for me to watch this kind of shooting.

Got to say Lee that’s the longest shot ave seen on a grey well done bud am loving my set up I’ve copied of ya haven’t tried the wild mans ave got yet still got 5 tins of H&Ns to shoot keep at them the birds are biulding nests now
I have found that females are often skittish, l had one Monday which wouldn't keep on feeder, very nervy. I have shot 5 times more males than females this year. Glad you like the new rifle.
I've found the same...in fact I'd say for every 10 shot 9 would be bucks. Don't know if that's the natural ratio in the population or the bucks are more dominant around the feeders and scare the does off.
Very good as always, especially with the S200., that's some shooting. The thing that's puzzling me though is why go single shot? Wouldn't that make it a little time consuming if a follow up shot was needed? I would have thought that a 10 shot budget PCP would have been the gun of choice such as the Gamo GX40.

Great vid as always. Changing the subject, I use whole wheat as bait. It lasts longer as they dont grab it and bury it. 18 yards exactly.

hi robin what type of metal is that plate made of is it ally or steel and how thick is it
It’s steel and it’s a feeder I purchased from squirrelmanagment.co.uk it stopped a .22LR round from 63 yards so it’s pretty tough.
