Very nice, just to correct: this is not a flash welding machine, this is a butt welding machine. In flash welding the upsetting pressure is not applied all the time, thus flashing happens at the seam area with lots of sparks.

Thank you for your message Jaakko Fagerlund. It is true, the type of welding shown in the video is butt welding, but the equipment also allows flash welding with adjustments to clamping and squeezing mechanisms. Here the gradual upset is not needed as the welding area is small (sub 300mm^2), nor are the hydraulic cylinders for regulation. I apologize if some words are misleading. They were spoken in real time without preparation.
