    One time ago I had the oppertunity to do some repairs on the exterior of the purity factory and hinted at buddy to sneak out a fresh pack of em. He came out with a wooden carboard box filled with goodies fresh from the factory. The taste is uncomparable, if you ever have the oppertunity to get em fresh like that definatly do it. Ate a full pack that day, didn't feel too good afterwards but it was too good.

    Loves Jam Jams. They taste better in Newfoundland, sitting in our cabin with a coffee and staring out at the icebergs, puffins and whales. I can get them in a local grocery store in Huntsville, Ontario, but it just not the same.

    As a Newfoundlander who has lived in Sarajevo (Bosnia & Herzegovina) for one year and Belgrade (Serbia) for three years, Newfoundland is NOT like the Balkans. Whereas Newfoundlanders boil the bejesus out of everything, in the Balkans you grill (aka BBQ) the bejesus out of everything.

    That Newfoundland wasn't part of Canada till 1949 amazes me. The United States, at the end of WWII, should have worked hard to get Newfoundland into the states. I have visions of people from Appalachia, Texas, California, waterman from the Chesapeake, Bronx, and a Newfie all in the same having a conversation with nobody understanding each other. Do I even need to mention how much the food would have been?

    • @Countrybananas
      @Countrybananas 2 года назад

      Well we were our own country and are in fact older then both Canada and the United States but I agree as a Newfoundlander if I can't have independence I think we'd have been better off joining the United States.

    • @caitthecat
      @caitthecat 2 года назад +1

      @@Countrybananas Are you sure? Because if you'd joined the US, you wouldn't have been a proper state. If you knew how badly American Samoa and Puerto Rico are doing, you'd change your mind quick.

    • @Countrybananas
      @Countrybananas 2 года назад

      @@caitthecat Why do you say we wouldn't have been a proper state??? You have no basis to make that claim especially because our joining the united states would require negotiations and you think we would except anything less then full statehood if not more autonomy?

    George didn’t like tongues because he had big ones. There’s too much jelly in big tongues. You wants the small ones. Carrots, turnips, potatoes, and cabbage boiled with salt meat accompanies every dinner. Alone, it’s a Jiggs Dinner. When it accompanies a turkey or a chicken, or a roast, it’s a cooked dinner. I don’t understand why American food magazines do a big spread about Thanksgiving with all kinds of recipes for “side dishes”. What the Hell are “side dishes”? Thanksgiving is a cooked dinner with turkey. All the vegetables are boiled with salt meat, and there’s pease pudding in a bag dangling in the pot! Why the Hell would I want “sweet potatoes” (whatever the Hell they are) with marshmallows? How do you boil marshmallows??

    • @elliottorgeman7491
      @elliottorgeman7491 7 месяцев назад

      This is just a weird comment. 1. How are you going to act like sweet potatoes are an “American thing” and 2. Thanksgiving is different in different countries, why would that be shocking to you? Also, if your Canadian, how are you shocked at the US doing something different? You are telling me the whole of Canada doesn’t have a “side dish”??????
