I'm glad to see you back on RUclips, doing what you love to do. Please, don't worry about your English, Vanessa; it's fine. I've never had any trouble understanding you. 👍😊
Here in the USA I live in an old house built in 1947 it’s been remodeled I love it I’m Single widower my wife passed away 11 years ago I live in the USA Tennessee state smoky mountains Tennessee, A good video love you Vanessa.O I am a Tennessee prepper
Miss Vanessa! I appreciate you so very much! I'm so glad to see that you're doing well. You are so blessed. I have faith that God always provides for you.💛💛💛
Vanessa, your home is amazing! Even the cellar is fascinating...that's a dehumidifier that you're using. I would say it would be better to open the windows to let the air flow through. Also, your aquarium is gorgeous. I've never seen one more beautiful. Your home is your haven. It's beautiful, unique, and cozy. And you are right. We have so much to be grateful for if there's a roof over our heads, warmth in our home, food in our bellies, and love in our hearts. I'm so delighted to see you looking healthy again. Thank you for returning to us with such an interesting video.
Vanessa, I hope that you are feeling as good as you look! It is comforting to see you smiling so joyfully once again! Shoutout to your camera person for allowing you hands-free touring during this video. You have shared with us such an intimate view of your home and private life. Thank you also Vanessa for commanding my attention and heightening my awareness of the meditative powers given through playing the tongue drum! Please Vanessa, include more rhythms to sooth our souls in future videos! Stay happy and healthy Vanessa! XOXO Ophelia
Dehumidifier, the word your looking for ! For the closed off door, get a USB inspection Camara, at least 5 foot in length, then just drill a small hole near the top just so Camara will fit and go from there. Make sure the Camara comes with its own light . Have a great day,. Also when saying progress, the gr sounds just like in great. :)
Hi Vanessa, It's so lovely to see you looking so fit and healthy after your reported illness, and I absolutely love this video. Your beautiful home seems to be like a 'Tardis'! I love the character of older houses. Your roof space office is so impressive and essential for your work. Great classic guitars and amps and all things music. Every room has your character written all over it with beautiful plants and aquariums. It's been a real joy and a privilege to have seen inside your home, and thank you for being the perfect host!💕💑💑💕
Vanessa the house is old, but you made it into a cozy home. The cellar looks like a lost place lol! Something I learned today, you love music! 🙂 thx for the tour.
You have an awesome house, Vanessa: very organized, comfortable, very nicely decorated, lots of nature around you (fish tank, plants, etc.). And I love the emphasis on music all about your house. Very nice, Vanessa. I'm happy to see that Aika has her comforts all around. You live in Aika's house... 😁 Thank you for the tour of your lovely home. It's spectacular.
Regarding your cellar: the moisture reading given by your dehumidifier is probably relative humidity, which means that if you increase the temperature in the room, the humidity will be lower. This is simply because warmer air can hold more humidity. However, this obviously comes at a cost: one more room to keep warm, and potentially you might not be able to use the cellar to store food. Thus the only reasonable solution I can see is to stop the moisture form entering the cellar in the first place. Ideally you would do this by eg putting a drainage ditch around the house, but this would be expensive. There might already be some form of drainage around the house, but this is something you would have to look into. One way of doing this is to dig a trench, starting at a house wall and going out into the garden a meter or three. If there is something buried in he ground, it will show up in the trench. Regarding the covered-up door: you don't have to open all of it. Get yourself an inspection camera and then drill a small hole in the wall. If when drilling the hole you suddenly find yourself drilling into "thin air" you can feed the inspection camera into the hole, and see what shows up on its screen. You then have more information with which to decide on whether or not to tear down the doorway.
It just needs a simple vent pipe to the outside. I helped dig one when I was a kid. It would be +40F inside and -20F outside. One would think that cold air would flood in down there but it didn't because heat rises. Summer It would run about 60F and up to 90F or more outside.
You have a wonderful House Vanessa... NOBODY has the right to say what you do with it.... They are not you, and do not know everything about your circumstances.... Make a small hole in the cellar wall to see who is behind it!!!!!! there might be buried treasure..... :-)))) xxx ps: so good to see you smiling again.... xxxx
Thank you Vanessa for the wonderful tour of your Home. A lovely Home indeed. It was nice to see all the plants that you have, I'm sure it keeps you closer to the nature that you love. Will you be listing the equipment that you will be selling. I am interested. Nice to see you and stay happy and healthy. 🙂
As for your cellar! You need to seal every part of it where cold air can enter. Then you need to get yourself a proper dehumidifier that works. The one you have should be removing water from the air. It probably has reached its high limit for holding water and now simply is just running the fan. The compressor has probably shut off. A proper dehumidifier has a compresser that is filled with Freon of some sort and a fan that blows air from the room over the coils of the compressor. The compresser coils will sweat out the water from the fan air over the coils and drip them into some sort of a holding tank that you have to empty on a regular basis until the humidity in the air drops to about 40% or lower. Then it will need to be emptied less often. Some water holding tanks have a drain in them that you can direct into the floor drain if the cellar room has a drain. If not then you will have to bring the water upstairs to dispose of it. Read up on how a proper dehumidifier is supposed to work and you should see that any good machine removes moisture from the air that has to be disposed of. Older bigger dehumidifiers usually have the coils exposed at the back of the machine that you can see and observe that they are sweating out the water from the air. That way you can also keep an eye on the coils because sometimes they will freeze or ice up. This usually indicates that the coils are dirty and need to be cleaned or that the fan is not blowing properly as it should over the coils by possibly being blocked off somehow or running on too slow of a speed. I would say you need a proper working machine that produces water from the air. Usually bigger is better and usually more simple to work on. Good Luck As for your hidden door, behind it has probably been filled in with dirt before the door was sealed up so I would only ever drill a small hole large enough to stick in a lighted camera, but I would bet you will only see that it has been filled in. Good luck again
In the cellar, the machine is a dehumidifier. If possible, put a small wood stove in the cellar and run the pipe out thru the window. Then in the fall burn wood for a couple days which will take the dampness out of the walls and really dry it. Possibly when dry you could then watch for where the dampness starts first If it were mine I could not resist poking a small hole in the sealed door and sending a light and camera in. Best wishes
HI Vanessa, you have cozy and friendly home. Nice, nice, flowers, lights, quitars, colours. "Cellar." You can make a small hole in the wall, approx. 20x20cm. The wall can be a load-bearing element. If you make a big hole for a window or door, the ceiling must be supported by a professional.
Look for waterproofing that the water authorities use when they collect and store water. I worked on Bryan Adams house in London and his cellar was completely flooded. He wanted it pumped out, but wanted the original bricks and brick archways to be kept as original. It was pumped out, dried with propane tank heaters and then everything was sealed completely after the flooring was re-rendered in concrete. With that waterproof coating, nothing got back in, despite the cellar being below street level, alongside the River Thames. What a beautiful and relaxing home you have. Every home needs a woman's touch to make it special. Sooo relaxing. And especially love the log burning fires...with the cost of fuel on the rise, log fires are the way to go!
I am a British Surveyor. I think you should use 😮the Dutch idea for drilling your solid cellar walls and fitting their clay pipes to vent and drain the moisture penetrating from the ground level downwards would work fine . Also you can have chemical moisture collector tablets in a plastic stand which will fill with the water sucked from the walls and damp articles in that room . These also keep down the musty or food smells and hou just empty away the surplus water.
Vanessa, you have a very nice organized Audio/visual and video editing setup. Congratulations on your success on both youtube channels. I always enjoy watching your videos, and as far as your English. I believe you speak english very well. Thank you for being such a wonderful person and a great outdoor bushcraft woman; i can definitely tell you live and love this ❤️🤗👍🌹🌺. You have a lovely home, and i love your cabin in the woods. Living with lyme disease is a challenge but not the end, just life changing, and can be overcome slowly. I wish there is a 100% cure for it. My father had it with other health problems, and i believe some celebrities has it too, so you are not alone in the struggle, we love you and your family very much, and continue your bush craft adventures, take care and God bless.❤
Wow! I love those aquariums - works of art! Neons are my favorite tropical fish. I like your life attitude Vanessa! Thanks for a cool video. I would keep the door in the cellar as it is - opening it will cause even more moisture issues. It was closed for a reason that has been lost.
Beautiful tour, your words are always well chosen and spoken. Never worry🎶🎶 musician, the joys and song of life come thru with each thing you do in your life the children, your art, animals, writings and gardens. Please stay safe in these crazy times. At least too you know how to be self sufficient from bushcrafting, farming, creating, enduring all life has thrown your way.
I am so happy to see you are making videos again - Your home is lovely and very interesting - I love the plants and instruments - Music is very therapeutic as well as the plants and fish - A very relaxing environment - It is nice to see that you are looking well and doing good - I am looking forward to your next video.
While in the Islands, we enjoyed the use of the Steel Drums as instruments at Calypso parties which sound a lot like the Handpan. Tube technology too has features that are hard to replace! With nothing but glass separating the room from radiating current, the ambiance enjoys natural feedback to it's source.
It makes me grin ear to ear seeing you so happy and looking healthier. Enjoyed touring the house. You've made some nice changes since the last tour. That house is great and with a wood stove--wonderful. That cellar looks like a bomb or fallout shelter--nice feature. You're lucky to have an antique house. Never feel embarrassed of having an older house. Many people would love it, including me. Much Love from Texas.😘
Cold air does not generally hold a lot of moisture. Its possible with all the people living in the house cooking and showering that it some how gets down there. The floor looked damp. You may need a sump pump and or perimeter drainage around out side the building to carry water away from the building. An exhaust fan connected to a humidly sensor would turn on when the humidly gets high. Get a cheap humidity sensor to see what your humidity is. Compare it to the main house and the outside humidly and tempeture. It should give you an idea of where its coming from.
You have a really awesome house! I laughed when you discussed windows. Everyone has something we don't like to do! 😃 I loved the various aquariums and the plants everywhere. You really have done a great job with your house. The cellar was cool to see as well. I hope you are able to get the humidity down in the room so your fruit won't rot. When it comes to the sealed up door in the cellar, I think it'd be a good idea to drill out a hole large enough for you to see what's on the other side. If the next house to yours sealed theirs up too, there's the possibility that there's some empty space on the other side not being used by anyone. You might as well use it! Drilling it out will show you if they filled the entire tunnel or not. Thanks for showing us around your house! Glad to see you up and feeling better. Keep Smiling!
You’ve done well! You’re right to count your blessings. Don’t sell the guitar. You are very talented, your home is beautifully decorated. Thanks for sharing.
Try a small fan blowing through a conduit to the window for your cellar. Got to keep the air moving and blowing out of the cellar. Or even easier get a small window fan.
Maybe the warm air upstairs has high humidity and as the air sinks into the basement it condenses that moisture down stairs. Maybe. If the humidity is low upstairs and high down in the basement then its ground water seeping through the floor and walls. Since its cooler in the basement cold air holds less moisture. So cooling air raises the humidity and raising the temperature lowers the humidify because warm air holds more more moisture.
I have to say that your home is delightful and very practical. I have never had a problem understanding your English, so I think that if you did a podcast it would be just fine. So glad to have you back on-line, love your work 👏
Great to have you back and very pleased to hear that you are able to help refugees in these very difficult times. Something really positive! Many of us feel powerless and not sure what we can do! Best wishes Rodney.
I can watch you for hours so happy you're feeling better and sharing your life with all of us. Keep your faith and your great taste in music and try to remember i told you a long time ago that you are getting good at what you are doing you never have to explain your self to the people who love you, you are amazing 👏 ❤ ✨ 💖
Your English is very good! You have made a beautiful home for you and your family. Hope you continue to improve health wise. I think you should open the doorway. The house didn't fall when it was open before. Love from Tennessee USA!
I knew you had the music in you. So nice to see so much, so well organized and available. Your botanical skills are amazing. Loving all the acquarums too. So kind of you to share.
If you open the window in the basement. You only enjoy this if the humidity is lower outside than inside. Dry day outside Open the window. Wet day outside close the window. These are emergency solutions only. The main problem is the drainage around the house. You need to dig up soil around the basement wall. Treat the wall with moisture repellent material. As well as laying gravel and pipes that drain away the rainwater after you have shoveled the soil back.
Hi Vanessa, the reason you have water in the air (in English it’s called humidity)in your cellar is because it is coming through the walls and floor to stop it you will have to completely seal it with either a good paint or a coating or a waterproof sealer like polyurethane
Vanessa i send you love, happiness, peace and of course good health. You are a brave person with strong will power.Your not one to give up.Your positive attitude inspires us all.Never hesitate to call on us,we love and care about you.The world needs to change,we have to learn to care and love our fellow brothers and sisters more.Have a great day Vanessa!
I always love your perspective on living simply. I too share the belief that the blessings of simplicity far outweigh the worldly perceptions of being “rich.” Your success and richness in spirit, knowledge and wisdom are far more valuable than than any paper degree or position achieved solely on the idea of having “more” instead of being more. Thank you for sharing your journey. I glean much joy sharing with you.
Since you're burning wood to heat your house, and have high humidity in your cellar. You should open the cellar door into the main house. The drier air will help mitigate the moisture in the cellar.
Where I live , it is not normal not to have Air Conditioning. I admire your historic yet modern styled home, beautiful decor. Homes I have had, some were unbelievable, maintenance and repair can be a hassle and expensive. Wood heater stove, was absolutely necessary where I had a place in Oregon. I had to camp in the wilderness, long range, and although I don't have to anymore I surely do miss it. And then I kick back and listen to Rock and Roll. You do have a nice place.
I know what you have in the safe. My heart ♥️😁👍. I am so happy you're up and around. What a beautiful house. Cellar problem get a water meter and find where the humidity is coming from.
Vanessa, you look so beautiful with your hair down! Not that you don’t look beautiful otherwise, just more beautiful!!! You should do it more often!!! 🥰
You have no idea how good it is to see you again! There was a void after you shared your health situation. I'm so glad you are well! You have a wonderful home. It is so warm and cozy. It has character and is like coming into an old friend. You talked about others with their fancy houses.......yes, I said houses, not homes......a big difference. Stay well and I hope we can share a campfire again....when you are up to it. Love from Pa!
Hi Vanessa enjoyed your video you have a very nice home. I think you're English is good Love listening to you and wouldn't change a thing you are also looking good have a great weekend.
It's great to be in your sweet home, but dear Venesha! we love your gentle and so caring heart! We have enter in your sweet heart way back You are living in us You got inspiration for we all your subscriber So happy to hear your innocent voice Luv u
Vanessa, it is so nice to see you again doing well. I respect your wish to keep your family privacy safe. Your home is amazing. It's is like you bring your own sunshine into your home with the way you're designed it. Too much humidity is caused by poor circulation and / or moisture getting in. The dehumidifiers are one way to help. But you have to figure out what the problem is. Circulation or moisture. Great video, and it's great to see you again . Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
The word for the machine in the seller is a dehumidifier. If I was you Would check the size of basement before you go knocking any thing down . Glad to see you back on RUclips again .
Love your home ! My kids live up the mountains. They too, use a wood burning stove. A lot of work , but, that is what they have. For your cellar, you could try a larger dehumidifier, to remove the humidity, ( water), from the air. You could also drylock the walls, and floor. That will help prevent humidity from seeping in there. Drylock is a very thick paint, that seals.👍Love your fish tanks! I have a small 10 gallon tank myself. One of the reasons that I have been subscribed to you channel for many years, Is that I like your personality , and your views about life. I wish you a full medical recovery! And, I will be looking forward to watching more of your videos!❤ Your friend from Philadelphia Pennsylvania, USA. Mike 👍
Also Vanessa your Eglish is very good and love your accent and the very rare times you dont know the engish word because your effort to bring us the truth shines better then the sun so absolutly i give you a 10 for beauty and spirit on a scale of 1 to 10 Please keep up the great work
That dehumidifier should be helping. Perhaps you need to paint the walls with a waterproofing paint to stop the moisture. I’d cut a small hole and look into that mystery space.
Der weisse Kasten im Keller: Luftentfeuchter - Dehumidifier - Humidity Luftfeuchtigkeit Maybe there is so much water evaporating from the walls/floor its beyond the dehumidifiers capacity. Also it might consume lots of electricity for that reason. Venting the cellar might help, however depending on the cellars temperature and the outside humidity it might make things worse, especially in the summer when the outside air contains much more water. If the outside temperature is comparable to the cellars temp or lower, venting might work well as long as the outside humidity is lower as in the cellar. A fan will however consume way less electricity than a dehumidifier. Your Pro Breeze is rated at 200W, if it is running nonstop this sums up to 4,8 kWh per day. A 10W fan would consume 0,24kWh in 24 hours. I dont know about it, but maybe there is a way to reduce the water ingress into the cellar by doing something about the walls/floor. Oh, that door might have been closed to keep the vampires locked in. 😁
Thank you so much for making this video, and for sharing your home with your viewers ❤ there are many of us who will continue to watch your channel, weather you are camping, or something completely different! I have learned so many things from you, just in the last few months of watching your videos, and I have been inspired by your ability to push through any obstacles life throws your way! Once again, thank you for everything! 🙂
I love your beautiful house! This was so pleasant to watch. Thank you for sharing it! Also, it’s great to see you looking healthy!! Looking forward to the next video!
I tell people, "I'm not poor, I just don't have any money" If not for my garden, I wouldn't have enough to eat. But I have my garden. I have health issues that keep me from working as an employee and the government is paying for the things I need money for. But I feel my work I am documenting on RUclips makes me worth keeping alive. I don't have modern day entertainment, but I have plenty of nature to explore and the knowledge to make my own entertainment. The grass is not greener on the other side. Everyone has his/her problems they wish would go away.
It appears you film in high resolution. 4k files are enormous and take a lot of space and processing power. For most video situations, 1080p at 60 frames or even 30 frames seems to produce acceptable quality for video, unless someone is viewing with a very large computer screen, or your videos require a lot of zoom when editing. Thanks for sharing your home. Music and musical instruments make our lives more complete. Spending time in the outdoors helps too.
Vanessa, I know I speak for many of your subscribers when I say how relieved I am to see you are getting back to good health. Thank you for the home tour, your home is lovely.

It is called a dehumidifier 35:21

Lots of good comments here. 👍
I made a comment about humidity, without browsing the other comments, yours is much better, and the camera trick is simply genius 👍
If the wall gets warmer, more water will evaporate.
It just needs a simple vent pipe to the outside. I helped dig one when I was a kid. It would be +40F inside and -20F outside. One would think that cold air would flood in down there but it didn't because heat rises. Summer It would run about 60F and up to 90F or more outside.

Vanessa,
you have a very nice organized Audio/visual and video editing setup.
Store water bottles in your cellar. Water from the air should condense on the bottles. I'm glad you are feeling better WWB 👍
❤️. What a great start to my weekend. Thanks for the tour.
Beautiful table and aquarium!!! 😲😲😲 Plus the music room and computer room! Awesome! Love it! 😊 wish you well young lady!
Looking pretty and vibrant once again Vanessa. Glad to see you making videos again!
Your English is fine. Ac/DC is the best. So are you!
Such a beautiful and comfortable home! Thank you for sharing
So glad to have you back on-line, love your work 👏
I'm so glad to see you, Vanessa!! Welcome back. You have a very nice house.
Your English is very good. Old house's are built much better than new ones. You have a beautiful home. Take care !
*Just one word Vanessa ! " Brilliant "*
💖🔥😎👌
Always a good time when you upload. Thanks for the quality content. And I'm glad you are doing well! 👽
Since you're burning wood to heat your house, and have high humidity in your cellar. You should open the cellar door into the main house. The drier air will help mitigate the moisture in the cellar.
Thanks for allowing us to come into your house and learn more about you. I would open a small space in that cellar doorway. You are curious, yes?
Lovely to see you looking so well.
Vanessa I would keep all those guitars. An SG is only going to go up in value!
Vanessa, you look so beautiful with your hair down! Not that you don’t look beautiful otherwise, just more beautiful!!! You should do it more often!!! 🥰
I say, OPEN the old door way! Like a 2 foot square, low to the ground! Keep us posted!

So happy to hear your innocent voice

Mike 👍
Also Vanessa your Eglish is very good and love your accent and the very rare times you dont know the engish word because your effort to bring us the truth shines better then the sun so absolutly i give you a 10 for beauty and spirit on a scale of 1 to 10
Please keep up the great work
That dehumidifier should be helping. Perhaps you need to paint the walls with a waterproofing paint to stop the moisture. I’d cut a small hole and look into that mystery space.
Der weisse Kasten im Keller: Luftentfeuchter - Dehumidifier - Humidity Luftfeuchtigkeit
Maybe there is so much water evaporating from the walls/floor its beyond the dehumidifiers capacity.
Wow! Entrance into the "Secret Lab", I am humbled.
I think the white appliance to remove humidity is called a dehumidifier. Also, glad you are back and looking good again.
So glad that you are back!....also loved seeing Wüzel!....I love that cat!
What a lovely video ! Yoy have a very beautiful home . Are the fox pictures on the walls taken by you ? Thank you Vanessa ! 💗💗😀❤🦊
I love your beautiful house! This was so pleasant to watch. Thank you for sharing it! Also, it’s great to see you looking healthy!! Looking forward to the next video!
hell yeah i love wood stoves! they are the best and give off the best heat!
Glad to see your feeling better and don’t sell yourself short, your English is very good. Way better than my German 😃👍🏽
You are a fascinating Woman , I love all of your green plants and the aquariums and your music. So wonderful to see and hear you again. God Bless .
I tell people, "I'm not poor, I just don't have any money"
If not for my garden, I wouldn't have enough to eat.
