Good question!
I assumed I needed such long rope, but jute is much thinner than, for example, cotton rope, which I use most often, so I overestimated the length of the rope.

Thanks for noticing that! I made 2 bags, one with 40 cords, the other with 30 cords. I filmed the making of the bag with 30 cords, but I probably put 40 cords by mistake. I'm really sorry about that. This is a bag made with 30 cords.

Yes 3 mm. Of course you can use a thicker cord.
