Im malaysian even im intrigue n joyed by these scenes. Many hollywood actors do not try to get the accent right especially when they try to fake talk mandarin or malay. Even i’m not filipino i can tell his tonality n pronunciation is on point. The actor for Marcus definitely hav a good command in pronouncing foreign tones, or at least he really put a lot of effort to do it.
It’s always nice to hear asian languages sneak into big tv shows especially when they do exchange with foreigners, that feeling of cherishing every country uniqueness is always a good feeling

@kahsing - Mateo's Filipino/ Tagalog was on point. He lived in PH 🇵🇭 until ~age 16 (or so I've heard), so he spoke the language as a native speaker.
As for Marcus, props to him for learning the language. The pronunciation wasn't 100% accurate, but good enough to be understood. It's how many Fil-Ams (or some Filipinos who grew up abroad) would speak the language. Kinda like the way some Americans would speak Spanish. Also kinda like Brad Pitt speaking Italian in Inglorious Basterds (but Pitt was comical). 😅

Tarantado is from the root word Taranta, which means panic. So a tarantado is someone who becomes completely useless, freaks out and makes things even worse at the first sign of trouble.
