You know what Liam? Maybe the only industry plant that really exists is the grass we havent touched in a while. Lets go outside buddy
I've also found it really frustrating how quick people are to throw the label "industry plant" at artists that exploded out of nowhere. I love your analysis. Great video.
No normal artist explodes out of nowhere. It takes years for a regular artist to even start making a name for themselves
Most people I see called industry plants are usually called so because they're from well off families with connections in the industry but that's 99.99% of famous people since the 1960s
Also does it really matter if the music is good?
Calling this music’s “biggest conspiracy” when there was an entire FBI program dedicated to subverting Sam Cooke, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, and 2pac is insanely caucasian
I laughed quite hard when you called Sexyy Red's music "critically acclaimed" and then played the Fantano clip ngl
Here before it’s finished processing and I can confirm this is your best 10/10 I shat out tears of joy and rekindled a relationship with my father
In regards to the sexxy red theory you should look into the ties between the hip hop industry and the private prisons
exactly the sexyy red take was terrible imo, its much deeper than “haha bad imagine for black women”
Fun fact:the beat from old town road was made by Trent Reznor, it’s the third to last track on the Nine Inch Nails album “Ghost I-IV”
Really liked that point you brought up near the end. Almost all the time when someone refers to an artist as an industry plant they just don't like their music and need to rationalize that, consequentially reducing the value of the artist's entire creative output to nothing. Regardless of if someone had help from their family or industry connections I still feel like their music is artistically valid
What does a plant even mean? You always need people behind you to be a big musician.
I thought the thing that people would have pointed about about Billy Eilish is that no one actually listens to her.
tha weed i grow, thats the industry plant
Also Mulvehill is an industry plant, sponsored by N. John and DJ Dracula. Both of which were heavily funded by Milkburger under the Eilenan regime.
If they don’t write their own music, how can you call them an artist? If that’s the case, they are a singer/rapper for hire
gotta be one of the most underrated channels on this site bro, ur videos are honestly so good. Keep it up!
I am an industry plant
Wanna deal?
Nobody talks about how Donald Glovers dad was literally a famous actor. Atlanta on Hulu is pure cringe to me😂
wait who’s tyla
Me
@@LonelyGamer4 oh ok
I really like how you how you make it clear how subjective this all is and even analyze artists that you enjoy
Another thing, aren't some bands back in the day discovered by record label executives?
Hell the British Punks of the late 70s are all plants
I'm not even that into music, but your videos are always great 🙏
Liam is an industry plant
Really good analysis my guy, I saw your rate your music video on my feed and been loving the channel ever since. You obviously put the time in to make quality content so it’s only a matter of time before it pays off! I agree let’s just listen to music and be friends 😂
JUST KIDDING, you’ve OBVIOUSLY been planted by the industry to convince us that industry plants aren’t a thing!!
Don’t doubt the the use of propaganda, a simple google search would show you it’s basically legal now…
So its mostly just getting extremly lucky and some nepotism is always good. Yeah that actually makes a lot of sense.
all of Motown's biggest names (this includes Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Michael fucking Jackson) were industry plants by today's (fluid) definition; they were picked up from the streets and given songs, media training, and heavy promotion, and were massive successes. But because this was "the past, when everything was good and nothing sucked" (as Mara Wilson put it on Twitter), people either don't know or let it slide.
Honestly? Even if Billie is technically an "industry plant" i don't really mind because my girl fucking slayed with Hit Me Hard And Soft. I mean, as long as someone makes good music i couldn't care less lmao
This channel is genuinely so good you'll make it big one of these days, keep it up big man
Really good video on this topic. Now I want to learn more.
My favorite industry plant is cacti
There's a huge difference between an industry plant and someone who just has the right connections. By most people's definition, every musician is an industry plant
A industry plant is a artist
Who is bought and paid for
And is placed and supported in all ways
Found your channel through the “I only listen to real music” video. Pleased to have found a cool music channel!
yeah buddy is kinda yappin 😂
lowkey everytime i’ve heard industry plant i just come out with the idea of that people think of an artist got a lick of help are plants, which if that’s what i think at that point everyone technically in the music industry is a industry plant?
Look up Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon (Laurel Canyon) by Dave McGowan for a mindfk
bro u the goat, only 20k subs, ive seen ppl with 10m subs with wose content. ur gonna make it big soon. trust
You didn't get it correct at all. I will answer your question. An industry plant is an artist who lies or fabricates a rags to riches story to appear more relatable despite having significant industry or financial support or backing. The deceptive story is what makes the industry plant, not the come-up. With that in mind, you can analyze the artists you mentioned further. Look into people like Eilish and Laroi. Tyla usually says how it is but I noticed Eilish's story is not very consistent across interviews and Laroi initially tried to hide that he was born very rich. Great video as always.
Liam Anthony you are ACTUALLY THE BEST RUclipsr maybe ever. Promise you will remember me…

Are these "industry plants" responsibly sourced?

Billie Eilish is an industry plant, I'm from LA I know where she grew up, Highland Park is right by Pasadena, upper middle class well off place. Her parents are acting coaches at the Groundlings school on Melrose. They are connected.

Hey Liam, reposting this just for me to show back up? Nice try getting rid of me buddy
His plans have been foiled
most large artists r industry plants in some sense anyway, the majority of famous musicians were born into super rich and connected to the industry families
*BILLA TYLISH*

Then mostly every single popular artist is a plant
I'm pretty sure Liam is also a plant, probably a sunflower 🤔

why don't you have more subs wtf?
This video made me sigma 🤑
The subnautica music is great
14:40 you got to remember man theres a reason why the 1 persent is such a small circle n everybody do business together. They are able to make money by making artists n musicans make songs that would lead people into jail(owned by businesses)or very poor life decisions if the listerner(s) arnt aware if these psychological traps. The business don't won't u to be independent or truly free...if the business is able to see whats hot n able to keep making them money for months, years, generations its actually very smart of them to put a industry plant here or there.
well what is it
this guy is fs an industry plant
"Songs in his closet"
