Dig the Bass Pro Shops hat. Bass and Bass, a perfect combo imo!!

I would say that the Noble preamp is the worship industry standard for current modern songs. However, the Aguliar is a really solid option for most bass players that can't afford a Noble like me!

I actually run my Aggie into a Noble now. Best of both worlds!

Make sure not to lose the feeling of bass when messing with distortion tones, you want to make sure people can feel bass when you play

That’s why the Tone Hammer is so great, low end is present even at high gain. It tightens up nice and has a LOT of presence at 40hz. Thunder!

@@dakotawagner Big fan of tone hammer, also love the darkglass overdrives, lets you blend your clean beefy signal with gritty and subtle od sounds.

Learn to listen, knowing arrangement, and harmonic structure is very important to becoming a good bass player. Train that ear!
Modern worship music lacks musicianship IMO . Not trying to be negatively critical. It seems that the musicians don’t listen to one another. The mud most of the time comes from overplaying I.e piano player playing bass in the left hand. In an arrangement every instrument must have its own space. The key to this is “less is more”. The more instrumentation the less is played . That brings clarity and definition to the song along with a tighter professional sound. Hope that helps. This comes from 48 years of music experience and as a bass player and recording musician. Keep playing.

Agree.learning to listen and play at same time comes with experience. Us older bass players learned to fight muddy tones with our hands. Pedals leave me cold...
