I'm a North supporter and despised the arrogant blues back in those days. That 95 team was something else though. Very tough at the footy and had some brilliant individuals who played team orientated footy. The North team of 96 was the same.
I was there & it was such a thrill Hope it’s replicated in 2021

Screen with a Replay at 7pm on AMV 4 ( the other channel) ! Parkin & Barassi I rate as best Coaches of all ! I met him by sitting on the steps of Fitzroy St PO & saying hello Mr Barassi the 3 rd time he sat down next to me for 10 minutes he was so kind & genourous to a nobody who adored the Blues !

The name that team had in Williams, Kernahan, Silvagni, Bradley, Koutofides are some of the games all time greats and only one premiership from that list. It seems the list underachieved with the list they had.

I had the 1992, 93, 99 and 2000 videos as well. "The Gathering Storm", "Blue Horizons", "Out Of The Blue" & "Blue Thunder". It was annoying that the year we won the premiership - "Ballistic Blues" was the shortest video with a narrator over each game, rather than letting the highlights play, no scores and goal/best shown at the end of each round, and no round-by-round comments from David Parkin. The '92 & '93 videos ran for 140mins, the '99 video ran for 87mins and the 2000 video ran for 75mins and were much better in presentation.
I hasten to add - they say throughout Asia - I was in Taipei and it wasn't being shown anywhere.
After the siren some random IDIOT put the geelong theme song or part of it. NO BLOODY IDEA WHY OR HOW THAT HAPPENED. Just imagine if it happened nowadays. Go blues

So did they cheat 16 times? That's how many premierships they got. Teams like Geelong who have been in the comp since the start haven't even hit double figures yet. St Kilda has just 1. I would be jealous too if i barracked for anyone else. Carlton is the best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be. Here you see David Parkin (one of our better coaches) speaking on it. Proof is in the pudding, bud.
