  • A CECE News Report on The Wings Museum at the Child and Family Development Resource Center at Eastern Connecticut State University.
The Wings Museum was the culmination of a long investigation. The Investigations curriculum is centered around engaging projects-called “investigations”-on topics that are selected by children, teachers, and families. Supported by their teachers, children investigate a topic in learning centers, small collaborative groups, whole group activities, movement and music experiences, and/or outdoor observation. Over the semester, children acquired background knowledge on wings and used it to create the exhibit and invite their peers to learn from them.
