I am from South Africa. I grew up listening to Simon "Chopper". My Dad Loves him a lot even to date. He once crossed the boarder to Zim just to attend Simon's show. This is some great music and I am so inlove with the acoustic version of it. "Opah" is my Favorite Jam for days.
This is gud my friend Allan and those who are backing you on vocals Yoo👏.This reminds me sometime back home, wen I used to get on most of your shows Allan...Well done
Allan you fit well in Chopa's shoes brother. Thumps up man. Just need to improve on those ladies doing backing vocals, they are a bit saladic and slow. But for u Allan, u have your brother Simon's voice and face as well. You reminded me of Simon, shame. Long live Dendera music
@@johannesncube9726 yes i think the ladies are doing well please dont shoot their effort down i see in response to your comment some negative not exactly constructive, I believe for their age group they have done well, improvement? maybe yes but i wont take away from the fact that they have made this beautiful music. The Denders we speak of were men so we cant expect women to have the same matching vocals.
It's good somebody picks out the 'saladic' nature of the backing girls...but here is the deal.it shows where the Dendera Sound could and should be...up there. Its not music for the 'bhawas' but that it's got class too. To actract such sweet melodic voices to Dendera is adding value to it and not diluting it. Please learn to love and appreciate a 'Zimbabwean Musical Picasso'. Well done Allan.
I wish we in Zimbabwe be positive encouraging supporting and respect ing of our people listen to group supporting this session its nothing but Great stay Humble and repay every member well
If only as Zimbabweans we would understand that we ourselves are true gems, a peculiar people. Only then will we begin to love ourselves and our heroes like the Chembetu family and the timeless classics that they produced. Also love these young Houz of Gruv youngsters giving our classics a fresh vibe.
this series should be aired on national tv - kungoti hatina zvisvinu muno munyika this is too good - keep on mukoma - Edit: i listen to this everyday - when are we getting a new episode??
Chauta is my fav song... Chopper and the Dendera Kings among the few artists who knew to embrace the lingusitic diversity of Zimbabwe through their compositions... . Often dialogue of lingusitic discrimination hovers between shona and isindebele yet the so called minority languages of chewa, tonga, shangani, venda, nambya, koisan, ndau, Xhosa kalanga, tswana and chibarwe can further enrich the cultural expression.
What trust is to the music industry is what we call knowledge transfer and we are thankful for it.. if we could have this in sports tech etc zim will never be the same.. thank you
Beautiful! I made my family sit down and watch this and they were so thankful for it. Welcome Trust, Houz of Gruv and Allan Chimbetu. Rambai makadaro! Chauta naNguva Yakaoma andibata. Such true and pure songs!
Wow, this is a 5 star performance. Simon Chimbetu was/is "one out of a million". Professor Allan, those young guys are really good. Thanks for the memories.

Youuuu just made me fall in love with the song Opah again and brought back childhood memories and people in my life that used to play simon non stop
Watching this for the second time bcoz i was dazzled with the acoustic version of the legendary songs i grew up listening to. For airing music only otherwise it will be destroyed by zanu if they ever aired anything to do with politics.
Allan has the original Dendera sound. I stand corrected.
