‘Vamudhara’ song is an independent initiative of Kulcha Houz Studios to celebrate Zimbabwe’s adoption of a new national currency backed by gold, which is aptly called ‘Zimbabwe Gold’ or ZiG for short.
The proprietor of Kulcha Houz Studios is Trust Samende, a renowned guitarist and the music director of Zimbabwe’s internationally acclaimed band, Mokoomba.
The national currency is a momentous and important development for ordinary Zimbabweans in that for the first time since its currency challenges dating back to the early 2000s, Zimbabwe now has new money for everyone which has the best chance of enabling the country to turn a new page because it is backed by gold.
