When the Pistols had a bass player who could keep time and stay in tune! Remember seeing this documentary when I was 19, blew me away. Thanks for the upload.

They should make a movie about this guy and get Richard Madley to play him. I'd pay like 12.99 to watch that or some amount similar

I love that the BBC let Jordan wear a swastika arm band on the air. Also, enjoying Iggy's eye make up. RIP, Ian Curtis, and Poly Styrene.

After all these punk bands Joy Division looks and sounds absolute genius and classics for centuries.

Siouxie, Magazine, Buzzcocks, XTC, Joy Division... not some of the best bands of the period, but some of the best bands ever. And the also great Devo in the background while Jordan is being interviewed, lol.

We take this music for granted now but the sheer excitement that new record releases brought was only over shadowed by the fact that at some points they were coming so thick and fast that no matter what singles (or LP's) you bought you knew you had missed out on something great, the number of great releases was higher than the ability to afford the cost of buying so many brilliant records every week.

    Smash Hits brought me here.

I have watched this on Polish TV when I was a teenager. It must have been very late 80ties (still comunism time) or very early 90ties. It brought me into punk and everything they have recorded since then. And and I still love it when I am over 50.

Had to end on Joy Division if Tony presented this! What else?! Good upload by the way! Nice to finally see the end of this tenth summer anniversary comp! The previous upload on YT had the last 7 or 8 minutes missing from it!!!!

Lydon was right later on when he proclaimed to the world Anger was an energy. The tension raised by the Jam's dynamic live rendition of ITC singles out that Punk's Higson's particle that can only be heard on things such as New Rose or God Save the Q. Even if its main riff reeks of Holidays in the sun.
