Wendi, this is beautifully explained, I should draw this one myself, but I'm struggling to keep up with what I have to do now. Really like the video editing too. Way to go!
Yes I just recently learned the hard way on planing my colors to remain consistent. I had all the colors I was going to be using set on the table but when I finished an area and needed to move to the next area I forgot what order I had used them AND exactly which colors. Was it light purple or dark? Did I use the blue first and how much of it did I use? It mattered because it didn't match up with what I already done and now it's crappy. 5 hours wasted.
Yes so important to plan. Also once you choose your colors, write them down so you at least have the list you use. This way if you need to put them away you can pull them back out easily. Another option is just separate them into a container. But if you are like me I have a few things going on sometimes and need those colors so it is better for me to just write it down Also take notes if you find what order you used them in. Keep it with the list. And one last thing you saw how I work on animals. This is another reason why I block in fully first so that way that step is done so I don’t have to worry too much about the order because the base is already laid down and all I have to worry about are the details and fine tuning. Just a couple other ideas for ya 😉
Beautiful and very well explained. Thank you once again.
Thank you so much. I hope it was helpful.
