    10:40 by skewing the blade you are also cutting at a lower angle. Veritas has a frog at 45 degrees, by skewing the spokeshave at a 45 degrees diagonal you can lower the cutting angle to 35.3 degrees, making it feel much easier to push.

    If you ignore daylight saving NZ is 12 hours ahead of the UK. But if it's summer in the UK this reduces to 11 hours and during the UK winter it increases to 13 hours (NZ has daylight saving). Bit simplified as the 12 hours only apply to a few days/weeks before the begin/end of daylight saving.
