This really feels like a deeper level of depression. Like when you've accepted the isolation, and embraced the hopelessness you feel, while just going through the motions.
You stare at the ceiling, waiting for the end. You can feel it, death patiently waiting as you lay in bed. Because of old age, you struggle to look around your apartment. Just like the days before, no one else is around. The room is silent, other than the humming of the wires. You didn't have the energy to get up and turn on the lights this morning. The only source of light is a little bit of sunlight that managed to come through the closed window. As you're nearing the end, you try to recall memories of the past. It's all blurry. You couldn't come up with anything particularly special in your life, but nothing that is so bad either. The few relatively good ones now seemed so small and insignificant. You looked back and found nothing you can really be proud of. Would there be any difference on the world if you didn't exist? It's too late to do anything. You close your eyes. It's almost over. Maybe you could've lived you life differently, but that doesn't matter now. Strangely, you feel peaceful. You find peace in knowing it's about to end. Suddenly, death doesn't feel so scary. You smile for the very last time as you say your farewells to the world.
i’m gonna listen to this in the middle of a rain storm with my windows open all the way.

I don't know why but, I think of Ballora dancing to this as she remembering the past. Accepting her fate as an animatronic and nothing more.
