How to Know the News that Moves Stocks

This is a very frequently asked question. And it's a little difficult to answer I know you guys want a one size fits all answer. That's not the way the stock market works. I highly encourage you to watch my trader checklist guide. It's 11 plus hours going over like a sliding scale of how news and catalyst can help or sometimes even hurt a stock. But just generally speaking, I want to buy quality news, I want to buy quality companies. When a company reports good earnings and the stock spikes that is an earnings winner to me.
If a company reports good earnings, and I think that they're good like, oh you know, I read that they were only going to report revenues of 50 million but they came in with revenues of 55 so I think it's good earnings but the stock doesn't react, that's not an earnings winner. The stock has to react positively to show me that the news is meaningful. No matter what I think or no matter what you think about the news we can misinterpret. The stock market is king. So respect the market. So whenever there's news always be sure that there's a reaction.
Instead of asking me what is the right news that drives the stock, what is the right price action. And the right price action that moves the stock is a stock that is spiking. 10, 15, 20, maybe 30, even 50 or 100% in a day. Lately, we've been seeing 500% or even 1,000% or 2,000% gainers in one day in penny stock land. It's a good time to be a penny stock trader. But whatever the news is making sure that there's a reaction with the stock. The cool thing with penny stocks is that you have time, even if it goes up 10, 20, 30, 50, 100% in one day. It can go up that amount on day two as more and more people see the news.
That's one of the benefits of being in the underfollowed niche of penny stocks. That does not work in other niches. Sometimes a big company like Cisco will report good earnings, it'll go up 20% that day, and that's the entire move. Okay, the company is up, the stock is up, then it does nothing for three months, that's big-cap stock. So penny stocks I think you have an advantage, you have that timing inefficiency where good news can get priced in over several days. Just the other day I was buying TZOO, it was an earnings winner I bought it at $8.25 on a dip it had already hit $9.00 a share pre-market, so I thought that it could get back up there.*
Sure enough, it did. I sold, I took my profits of less than 10%, but it was good profits in under an hour now a few days later it's over 13, so the stock is up another 75% in roughly a week on good earnings it was already spiking, they reported good numbers, it continued to spike.* That's what you should be looking for. Look for big spikes and good news and continuation moves, so. Leave a comment underneath this video let me know if you understand this and please do watch my trader checklist guide. 1 thing I learned is that all news is neutral. The volume and price action makes it good or bad. News just tells me what I should be looking at that's it. Once I look at it volume and price action tells me what to do next.
That's a good point, but sometimes the market reacts really wrongly to the news, and there is money to be made being contrarian....like was with Amarin last year.
This should have thousands of views instantly. Many folks just don't get how valuable this channel is. Right now they are in some amateur youtube live chat learning from amateurs with names like Phillips, Gutierrez, Velez, Wieland, and the list goes on. They are not proven traders with track records and big money, but folks are actually following them and investing in their affiliate courses, or T-shirts. Makes me want to start selling something being there are so many suckers out there. Tim, thanks for being here, man.
Yes. Do it. If Tim Sykes did it, you too can sell your trading courses and create a nice subscription site that makes you $20 million/ year. All you gotta do is fake it 'till you make it. No shame in pushing aside ethics and societal moral values for a little financial gain. After that, escape the industry and get into something else.
No, Tim has a proven track record. He literally has shown his brokerage statements. Many of those other scammers, once they get big enough, will get the Feds a knocking. Always happens. Google Don Lapre. Peace.
You can call them brilliant marketers(eg. Tai Lopez - lots of things you can learn from him(not in the way most people think though)). But If a product doesn't give you the results you want, is it a scam? Possibly. But also possibly not. The one thing that baffles me is if 99.99999% of traders have internet access and can learn almost every aspect of trading and the skillset + psychology to 'win', then why the hell do 97% end up losing? Why does every single trader out there think they can be in that 3%?
The reason potential traders buy courses from established traders: They are learning from a real trader. The reason they buy from fake gurus: They are being lied to, and never check the results. Most "NEW" traders lose money. The reason we have seasoned profitable traders is because they started out being the 90% of losers, and with practice and work, became the 10% winners. Just like folks wanting to be doctors, there will be folks wanting to be traders. Most new med students fail at being a doctor, until they know what they are doing. Then they succeed.
Amir Stewart if you watch Stephen Johnson you’ll see why 90% of traders lose, it’s not that the system he teaches doesn’t work, it’s idiot people the break the rules like him that lose money.

This stuff works. It's not easy (nothing worthwhile ever is), but if you put the time and effort in, it really works. Tim's haters are people who just weren't self-disciplined enough to put in the thousands - yes, thousands - of hours you need to put in studying the material. If you have the discipline to put the time in, you really can live your dreams.
Price action is what matters! Market is always right!

i completely understand, I'm starting to realize that earnings are starting to get hot now right after the summer. its seems like after summers, earnings reports start to get hot and more tradable. i also remember right after last summer, earnings report became hot then died towards the end of the year. so ill start studying earnings report in preparation for the trade.
Definitely been there lately. Market did not give a crap about what I thought was good news.

So in these cases of stocks spiking on news. How do you trade these stocks?? When and how do you enter? Do you jump in with SL. Can you do a video explaining how you trade these plays stock moving on good news

Which trading platform and broker do you use to execute a three minute stock move?
Stockstotrade and interactive brokers. Sykes also uses etrade and centerpoint but centerpoint is high net worth only and Interactive brokers is really hard to beat when it comes to execution time
But I feel like if I wait for the reaction it will be too late by then. He says chances are for a penny it’ll continue to going up.
a little confusing to me. I would think if a stock moves on good news, then by the time you jump on you're basically chasing. yes, I got a lot to learn, but it just sounds off. i'm trying to get on board BEFORE the spike.
