Please excuse me for asking such a rude question (I am a sheer beginner, forgive me for my ignorance). Does the melody from 4:00 sound correctly/naturally? (in other words is it registered as was intended by Bach? ). I know some registrations combine several different notes (here I hear 3rd or 10th), but in this case, at least to my ears, it doesn’t sound harmoniously at all. Is this normal?
Hi! According to Masaaki, this tone color has a register called “tierce” meaning the “third.” So it might sound split in the lower octaves. It isn’t Bach’s registration. In fact, Bach almost never specified the registration for the organ works. Thanks for the watching and commenting!
