When I did my first playthrough of vault hunters I got simple storage and never had any lag issues. Had a silo with about 64 double chests in it and not a single lag or lost item. Then they updated and removed the crafting grid in SSN, I started a skyvaults world and with only the interface and 8 chests it was unplayable laggy.
for the fluid trash it happened that sometime a machine produces 2 liquids but one of them is not storable and usefull, so i delete it with the fluid trash, in fact it was the most usefull among them all (except for the ultimate one, and sorry for the orthograph)
The main issue in Simple storage is the lack of priorities. You can connect both drawers and normal chests to the system, but can not control where an item will go leading to real mess. BTW, is there a video about new skills and talents in your plans? Would love to see
Haven't tested this, but can fluid trash cans delete nuclear waste from mekanism reactors? if so, it can prevent nuclear waste overflowing if the waste barrel gets full
I have tried this in update 8 when i got mekanism and it didn't work, for some reason nuclear waste didn't go into the fluid trash can. Unless they changed anything in the latest patch, it shouldn't work.
I actually used a fluid trashcan in a recent machine. I had an electrolytic seperator from which i only needed one gas so i deleted the other gas i didnt need with a trash can
I use a trashcans to dump steam (coolant) from my Mekanism fission reactor when I'm making nuclear waste to convert to plutonium or polonium. I don't need to make energy (a fusion reactor is so much better once you have the materials) so I don't have a steam turbine. A kitchen sink with Integrated Dynamics providing water at max_int means it never runs dry and therefore I don't need to condense the steam back to water. Trashcans are also useful with Refined Storage when you're producing something like Pink Slime Balls and producing waste water. Rather than letting it fill up a fluid disk you can set the system up to always dump the unwanted liquid into a trashcan.
You could use the fluid trashcan to prank a servermate trying to make an infinite lava source? Just set the rate to be ever so slightly slower than the fill rate, so it will take *forever* to fill. And because it's a huge amount needed anyway, it'll take them a while to notice...
only if you do it as a redstone pulse, not a redstone signal (depending on the mod version used), and even then, it only increases it rather than making it instant😊
Ive used a trash can in making oxigen, it overproduced hydrogen oxigen therefor limiting the oxigen i would get . So one of the 2 machines 1 I used dropping it into a trashcan not limiting my oxigen i would get.
Snad can be sped up by feedign it a redstone signal esp a TICKING redstone signal which you can do with a COmparitor 6 blocks 7 pieces of redstone dust and a lever also Iskall has said the SNAD costing what it does is meant to be a troll (he said this in the episode of his live stream where he unlocked it cause he didn't want to use botony pots)
Having an actually useful mod costing a lot as a "Troll" seems pretty bad ngl. Angel costing 100 in 1.16 was a fun troll because it was obvious but a lot of new players could easily unlock this without realising
I use the rubbish bin from these so called useless mods, and it's cool cause I do not cause the server to collapse due to amount of the items I store in my storage system. It's not junk management and it's quite dangerous cause you can throw some items accidentally but it never happened to me. Additionally - you can use it for disposing items that are not needed and are produced by some farms... It's much cheaper version of junk management.
I personally used my fluid trash in combination with a create mod hose pulley to clear an area of water!
That's such a good idea, I haven't tried that out! thanks!
Fun facts for snad: make a redstone loop connect to the snad and you just hold the break button at the top of sugarcane or cactus

Yeah it's super weird what's going on with the lag side of thing but I stand by it being a great mod 😃

There definitely is, I'm just waiting for update 12 before I release anything to do with skills ☺️
You can use the trash to void the radioactive waste instead of the barrels
Haven't tested this, but can fluid trash cans delete nuclear waste from mekanism reactors? if so, it can prevent nuclear waste overflowing if the waste barrel gets full
Ooooh I'll have to check!
that would be game changing for most of us if it works like that
I have tried this in update 8 when i got mekanism and it didn't work, for some reason nuclear waste didn't go into the fluid trash can. Unless they changed anything in the latest patch, it shouldn't work.
Most of Mekanism's fun stuff: nuclear waste, slurries, etc are gases to prevent those sorts of shenanigans.
@@jophmac I used it to void steam from mekanism reactor, so it can void gasses (at least the ultimate one)
You can void the steam with the trashcan; useful when you're producing so much water, you don't want to bother with a circular flow for the reactor.
I start off with a colossal chest connected to simple storage, but I do hit creative mode for the crafting grid version.
Not bad if you have that option ☺️

Fluid Trashcans can get rid of unwanted byproducts from Mekanism such as excess Hydrogen or Nuclear Waste…

That is an amazing idea
@@Hellfirem4ge petty chaotic? Little old me? I mean, yeah...
Question, if you put redstone signal on snad it grows the crop instantly, doesn´t it ?

@@Hellfirem4ge yea, sorry my english is bad but I meant puls like it was in skyfactory 4, and thanks for explanation.
For mob collection - pouch/belt with void upgrade set for overflow might work too, stack extension friendly) Not cheap tho
I had to void liquids when using ae2 autocrafting with create basins because the crafting pattern put too much in... pretty niche but it was used

Would the fluid trash can work with the nuclear waste so you dont have to use the waste barrels?
gas trash is now available

Great episode mate good idea for mods to use
Poor simple storage but it is laggy as Hell
Yeah, if you have it connected to an absolute monster chest if can lag a server a lot! I don't mind it too much in single player though
🎉

Hey dont diss my boy iron generators like that.. it's the first one I unlocked :c
Praise the orb! Powah is the only true path to energy!
@@Hellfirem4ge Just cos you said that Imma go from iron gens straight to mekanism nuclear reactor >:c show its true potential (probably not but yano)
